The Washington Examiner ^ | March 13, 2017 | Ryan Lovelace

Judges from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals are urging senators not to pass legislation to break up that district, which President Trump said was in a state of "chaos."
.
.
.
The Judicial Administration and Improvement Act of 2017 would create a new 12th Circuit Court of Appeals covering Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada and Washington state. The states remaining in the new 9th Circuit would include California, Oregon, Hawaii and the territories of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Congress should move the 9th’s courthouse to Guam.

Shrink it to the size of a postage stamp and put it in the SF Greyhound terminal. 4th stall in the mens’ bathroom.

The slapdown of the 9th Circuit is decades overdue.

S.276 for those who want to read introductory remarks, etc., free of input from the press. The bill was introduced a month and a half ago, and is in the Senate's Committee on the Judiciary.

What a terrible thing to do to Guam. I was thinking about suggesting somewhere more central, like Midway Atol - along with the unexploded ordnance and gooney birds. Justices could spend their spare time clearing maritime waste from the beaches.

How many times have we heard of legislation that is announced but then dies in committee or withers on the vine? This congress is as do-nothing as any that has ever been seated. They have the president and control of both houses, and only two for certain years to get things done. The congress should be fired up and roaring down the tracks like the Wabash Cannonball. Instead, they don't have enough steam to fire up Mister Roger's trolley.

This bill needs to be fast tracked.

Isn’t Guam going to capsize any day now?

“Isn’t Guam going to capsize any day now?”

You’re right! The addition of 9 judges and their staff would surely cause it to flip over!

In that case, we can’t move the 9th soon enough.

Judges should be apolitical and not involved in taking an advocacy position on this issue. Shows how corrupt they were to begin with.

That would have to be a “Gender Neutral” bathroom, thank you very much.

I think a permanent fix for all court districts is needed so we don’t have the packing of a court district with liberal judges. have all judges randomly redistributed every 5 years.
