This is actually quite a delightful study. Two left-wing NYU professors designed an experiment to prove that Hillary Clinton would have been treated more fairly, and won the election, had she been a man. Likewise, the study was meant to reveal that if President Trump were a woman, no one would have tolerated his antics.
Well, the experiment backfired. Not only was it revealed that Trump would have fared exceedingly well as a woman, people despised Hillary Clinton, the man, a lot more than they did the woman.
"We both thought that the inversion would confirm our liberal assumptionthat no one would have accepted Trumps behavior from a woman, and that the male Clinton would seem like the much stronger candidate," Salvatore said.
"But we kept checking in with each other and realized that this disruptiona major change in perceptionwas happening. I had an unsettled feeling the whole way through."
Salvatore ceded that members of the audience understood how and why Trump won the general election after participating in the debate.
Best, or, worst of all, not only did the "simplicity of Trumps message" become "easier for people to hear when it was coming from a woman," one female audience member said the male version of Hillary was "very punchable." Apparently it had something to do with her smiling too much.

Maria Guadalupe and Joe Salvatore, two professors at New York University, planned to demonstrate the alleged gender bias Clinton faced in the 2016 election by acting out the presidential debates with Trump as a woman and Hillary as a man, reports NYU News.

The goal of the Her Opponent project was to prove that people would not have accepted Trumps aggressive behavior had it come from a woman, and that Hillarys debate style would be much more likable if she were a man.
The professors and audiences of the mock debates, however, were unsettled to discover that the opposite was trueTrump became more likable as a woman and Hillary became even less likable as a man.
To isolate the gender variable to the greatest extent possible, the actors portraying the candidates sought to emulate their debate performances exactly, down to gestures and intonation, though it was necessary in some instances to tweak the language to reflect the gender reversal.

NYU Gender Reversal: Trump vs Clinton
Just proves that Hitlery the venomous harridan is unlikeable irrespective of gender considerations!
America got it right on Nov. 8!
Nooooooooooooooo!
Do Not Want!
We knew that all along...............
She was unlikable no matter what she did.
WE got it right on Nov. 8!
being eager to launch nukes didn’t help her any, tbh
She fits the role as a villain. Kim Jong Un like.
bkmk
Hard to imagine she could be any more unlikeable.
The libs still have no clue why they lost.
The constant smile made her look arrogant. It also had her looking like she didn’t really understand what was going on.
I'm not so sure that is a Trump/Hillary thing as much as it is a gut-level reaction to seeing a man using the mannerisms of a woman.
All the way down to the clothing too. I am glad to see the press actually covering this story. Absolutely hilarious.
It also made her look disingenuous and fake...................
I am thankful everyday knowing that I don’t have to hear/see Hillary Rodham Clinton for the next four years, frolicking about as President of the United States. It would have been miserable.
And condescending.
Well then even more people saw she was a phony as a man.
