Trump did say other things during his presser lead to Flynn being let go, but he didn’t elaborate. This maybe one of those other issues.

Flynn wrote a nauseatingly pro-Islamist op-ed that appeared on ELECTION DAY. It was just bizarre. He was a loose cannon and it was only a matter of time until he got fired, IMO.
Unless Trump had that restriction as an actual term of accepting the position as his advisor ( which Flynn did before Trump was even elected)! and Flynn signed it, he didn’t “ lie”
I was thinking the same thing. Flynn was the first to violate Trump’s Foreign Lobbying ban. I’m glad he was fired. We talked about Flynn’s Turkey connections here on FR months ago.
More people than you may suspect have serious questions about 9/11.
The drumbeat that “Flynn was fired because he lied to Pence about a call with the Russian ambassador” always struck me as absurd, and as an excuse.
It appears that it was a convenient cover story. Loyalty is a two way street. Trump wouldn’t turn on a trusted advisor for a miscommunication between Flynn and Pence. It was obvious that there was a hidden reason for the sudden firing.
