Vice President Mike Pence will join Bret Baier tonight from Capitol Hill to discuss a range of issues surrounding the Trump administration, including how they plan to proceed with repealing and replacing ObamaCare.
. . .
"This is the bill, but if there are ways to improve that bill to give people greater confidence that we all are going to arrive at the same place where ObamaCare is done and we repealed it," Pence said.
He said that they are committed to following through on President Trump's campaign promise of repealing and replacing ObamaCare.
"President Donald Trump is a man of his word," Pence said.

Sadly, not too many congress critters are though.
Paul Ryan is not a man of his word.
This is his bill.
Therein lies the problem.
So, I'm sure, is Mr. Ryan. In his case the question is, his word to whom?
If this is some sort of rino trick, then Ryan and the rest will pay dearly at the ballot box.
They know this.
Turkey is a NATO ally, so we’re not talking China here.
OTH, if Flynn was asked but withheld the truth, then he has a problem.
If he wasn’t asked, he still should have let the president know.
It’s a “ better way”. /s
Today on Hannity's radio show Ryan said his bill is "Tim Price's bill plus replace", it is "repeal plus replace"
That is lie.
Here is the relevant part Price's bill:
Sec 2. REPEAL OF PPACA AND HEALTH CARE-RELATED HCERA PROVISIONS.There is nothing similar in Ryan's bill.
(a) PPACA.-Effective as of the enactment of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111148), such Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted.(b) HEALTH CARE-RELATED PROVISIONS IN THE HEALTH CARE AND EDUCATION RECONCILIATION ACT OF 2010.Effective as of the enactment of the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (Public Law 111152), title I and subtitle B of title II of such Act are repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such title or subtitle, respectively, are restored or revived as if such title and subtitle had not been enacted.

Eric Cantor was the only weasel removed.
They are not worried.
“They are not worried.”
They should be.
And he and his bill are getting brutalized in the public arena. Then Trump and his people roll into his office and say, "Hey, buddy, here's some changes that need to happen to make this go a lot better for you."
Ryan got the first round in negotiations. He's not going to get very far.
The best thing that could happen to Trump and our country on this is for the freedom caucus types to save him from this bill, however mistakenly he has pushed it.
A positive report from DeMint on his meeting with Trump on this gives me some hope at least that the solution will be an immediate effective repeal through reconciliation and then more considered, free-market approaches further applied from there.
REPEAL NOT REPLACE
REPEAL WITHOUT REPLACE
REPEAL THEN REPLACE RYAN
REPLACE RYAN WITH RAND
REPEAL BUT NOT REPLACE
REPLACE THIS
NEVER REPEAL AND REPLACE
NEVER REPLACE
DO NOT REPLACE
ALWAYS REPEAL AND NEVER REPLACE
PURSUE REPEAL AVOID REPLACE
REPLACE REPLACE WITH REPEAL
REPEAL AND REPEAL AGAIN REPEAT
REPLACE MY ARSE
REPEAL REPLACE
REPEAL THIS SLAVERY
REPUBLICANS REPEAL DEMOCRATS REPLACE
REPEAL ALL DONORS
REPLACE THE SPEAKER
ideally this should be fixable in reconciliation.
a devil’s advocate hypothesis is that all these guys in the house face re-election. they have no choice but to maximize their popularity at all times. maybe a handful of them are in need of a popularity boost at home, being able to inoculate themselves against the great white devil trump to their constituents. what better way to indicate their independence than to vote for an “obamacare lite” bill in defiance of trump, only to have it shot down in the senate during reconciliation? trump can always sign the resultant bill if reconciliation fixes the flaws, and everyone can have their cake and eat it too.
that is the only explanation i can come up with when watching everyone talk about this on fox. all defenders of the current bill seem to be mealymouthed during cross-questioning, such as the guy on hannity this evening.
so, bottom line, might not be time to worry about trump yet.
and also i suspect that the last thing trump needs right now is a civil war within the republican party.
who is the party leader, if not trump? certainly not the nobodies ryan or mcconnell. hopefully even they will admit this.
and again trump and his family need to be very very careful. i think it is not unreasonable to believe that the deep state put out a lament about him. you can take lament to mean whatever.
