Absolutely. Some of the most faithful Christians I have known are as dark as night. It’s the soul and its instruction, not the color of the meat wagon we’ve been sent here to sojourn in, that counts.

Yugoslav guy (no connection to Islam seen by any cop or authority from the city yet), and he’s got some kind of record as a nut-case.
You have to remember that it’s practically impossible in Germany to put someone away in some facility unless some family member gets involved and does a lot of talking. Thousands of nutcases roam the streets...this is just one single guy who likely carried an ax in some backpack for self-protection. I noticed last week in Wiesbaden....some street-guy (homeless type) who had a backpack and had a baseball bat sticking out of it. It was an odd thing because German sports shops don’t typically sell baseball bats.
If you go back three weeks ago to Heidelberg and that car attack on the shopping district. So far, zero connection to Islam...35-year-old university student. He won’t talk (oddly enough), and they are still waiting on drug results to come back. They say he had been under some type of pressure in the university and think he just had a mental breakdown. I tend to believe that until the drug test comes back. But no Islam connection, period.

I read in another source the Yugoslav they arrested was specifically from Kosovo, which is 95% Muslim.
It still could be a case of mental illness as you state, however.
The brother of this ax-dude turned in a missing persons report on Thursday afternoon....after he simply could not locate the guy, and knew that he’d bought an ax very recently (no, it was not for cutting trees).
The brother said in fairly strong words to the cops that ax-dude had paranoid schizophrenia issues and was on medication up to a certain point.
There’s nothing more to the story other than another schizophrenic guy who needs to be permanently locked up. On any given day here in Germany....I can point out three or four individuals like this, who the authorities simply won’t act unless they attempt to kill someone.
We have the same problem in the US. A lot of the mentally ill are not institutionalized because of strict laws “protecting” them, and often nothing is done until a tragedy happens.
FWIW, we’re taking the German authorities word on the missing persons report, the brother, the mental illness. Do I think German authorities would lie to the public? You betcha.

The last time that some city or state authorities went to the lie-route in Germany, they got caught and a couple of folks were led out to resign (Example: Koln’s police chief, Jan 2016).
There are literally hundreds of assaults per week in Germany, and the vast majority are either nutcases, doped-up folks, or family squabbles....NOT Islam cases. So far, every piece of evidence shows this guy as schizophrenic. If you could force the cops to ID folks in the right category...you’d find that you got a much higher rate of assault in Germany from nutcases/schizophrenics....than from Muslims.
Be on the lookout for youths disaffected by global warming.
