One of the stations I know best because of all the trade fairs that are held at the Messe. Plenty of surveillance cameras, and
Polizei carrying submachine guns. But like all the larger train stations in Europe there are multiple doors leading out at either end of the station to several main streets. Plus, the station handles several systems, S-Bahn for the locals, U-Bahn for local underground, and D-Bahn for national and international.
From six in the morning till past ten in the evening the place is packed with people. It would be difficult to track anyone in the crowd or once they've left the station. Finally, lots of the people in the station will closely resemble what is almost certainly the Middle Eastern appearance of the perps. Germany is overrun with them.

Is there a National Bladed Weapon of Germany?
I can see where an axe is in the running for the US National Identity bladed tool/weapon.

Foreign language media reports have up to five injured, up tp two attackers each armed with an axe. Two supects have been detained, more are being sought, and no additional info on the perps has been released.

That certainly wasn’t the case in the early 70s. What has changed (for the worse)?

In the 70s they had the Baader-Meinhof Gang to deal with.

"Their activity peaked in late 1977, which led to a national crisis that became known as the "German Autumn." The RAF has been held responsible for thirty-four deaths, including many secondary targets, such as chauffeurs and bodyguards, as well as many injuries throughout its almost thirty years of activity. "
The new "Gang" is > 100x worse....

Even before the influx of “refugees” the complexion (pun intended) of Western Europe was steadily changing. I was surprised by the obvious number of Muslims in Paris the first time I was there and told people I met that it would lead to problems. That was back in 1981 and the situation has had thirty six years to metastasize.

It’s even worse with the hunters. After a few days In the woods with their eeevil guns, they become crazed, go into the nearest small towns, rape all the women, kidnap the kids, murder the men, and leave the towns bullet pocked wastelands. But be of good cheer; it’s not their fault, it’s the guns.
