Ryan was selected by Boehner as his appointed successor. My guess is he agreed to carryon with his appeasement policies.
It is VERY hard to extract a serial office holder from his sinecure.
Since the decision regarding campaign contributions, which was actually HAILED by fellow conservatives, it has become much harder.
Big money people who want special favors - like the international globalist corporations - dump HUGE amounts of money into the campaign coffers of INCUMBENTS. They do that because they know the odds are generally in their favor. Incumbents usually have the support of the corrupt local political bosses and machines who give them special considerations in campaign funds, publicity and the “party line” on the ballot.
Finally, incumbents are in position to extend favors to constituents like pressuring lazy, incompetent government officials to do what they are getting paid for instead of ignoring their responsibilities.
McCain probably has support from local pressure groups like Hispanics and senior citizens and even some veteran groups. Hard egg to crack. Not sure what Ryan’s hook is. Graham positively mystifies me. Booby Hatch is a Mormon in Utah. Unless another Mormon tries to dethrone him, he will only leave office when old age kills him. Marco is Cuban in a Cuban district.
Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake in 2018
Alexander and Graham in 2020.
McCain, Murkowsky, Hoeven and Rubio in 2022.
McConnell must have balls the size of two pieces of birdshot! What a wuss.
Hope that is good enough to remove them. Convention of the States offers TERM LIMTS which would be a good thing. We have them for Presidents and governors, we should have them for COngresscritters and Justices.
Senators McConnell, McCain and Graham are excellent examples, imo, why the ill-conceived 17th Amendment should never have been ratified.
50$% is the Going Rate for TAXES, All In for the Average Family.
Remittances to Mexico shall drop sharply, regardless of whether we assess an “exit tax” on funds wired back to Mexico or not. Self-deportation of “undocumented” Mexicans will proceed much more quickly than even the most optimistic now envision. And with the check-valve at the border in place (leave freely, come back ONLY by approved channels), the numbers will continue to ratchet down.
And with the sharp drop in foreign exchange, Mexico is going to have to make some far-reaching and possible severe reassessments in how they deal with the sudden population pressures they find themselves faced with, no longer having the US as their relief valve.
Some may have to leave and go to Guatemala. Or even Costa Rica.
this whole nonsense over who’s gonna pay is ridiculous- the wall will cost apprx $25 BILLION DOLLARS- illegals cost this country between $400 BILLION DOLLARS and $600 BILLION DOLLARS every single year-
The wall is a one time cost— then a small yearly fee to maintain it and pay those who need to surveillance it etc- it’s a drop i nthe bucket compared to what we are goign to save every single year- in hte first year alone we will save - on a very conservative approximation- about $100 BILLION DOLLARS (we won’t save the full $400 BILLION DOLLARS to $600 BILLION DOLLARS because we’ll still have illegals here in the states costing our country billions- but we will be preventing future illegals from coming in and adding to the current costs- if we are to truly save the most money we WILL need to deport illegals en mass
Even if mexico doesn’t pay- the wall is a no brainer- we save many billions of dollars after a ‘small’ initial cost and small yearly cost-
Uh, yes.
Yertle.
Let’s get Kentucky to pay for the wall. Retribution for re-electing this GOPe slug time after time.
FUMcDick.
Yup
Add the cost savings of less illegals coming into the country. We spend $100 billion on illegals per year. If illegals decline 40% do we then save $40 billion?
Duh! But Mexico will pay for it. No doubt!
In Twitch’s defense, I doubt that he was actually “rolling his eyes”. This is likely just a dishonest rhetorical trope/embellishment by another arm of minitrue to try and diminish President Trump.
But McConnell as Capt. Kirk, he is not.
You’re right, Mexicans will be getting less of our money, the true amount in fraudulent benefits and tax refunds could be even higher.
No one with an ounce of brains gives a good damn who pays for it, just get it built. It will pay for itself.

I’m not suggesting killing anyone but what would be wrong with a little scare?
