Companies added jobs at a blistering pace in February, with a notable shift away from the service-sector positions that have dominated hiring for years, according to a report Wednesday.
Employment in the private sector surged by 298,000 for the month, with goods producers adding 106,000, ADP and Moody's Analytics said. Construction jobs swelled by 66,000 and manufacturing added 32,000.

So hard to get ramped up since so many years of these jobs reports that were misleading. One thing I did note is these jobs increases are not totally in services.
Obama Era — We created 130,000 jobs last month.
Oh, hang on — small adjustment — it was more like 115,000 jobs last month.
Trump Era — We expect to add 190,000 jobs this month.
Oh, hang on — small adjustment — we added 298,000 jobs.
Everything in moderation, Mr President. Please. These wins are excessive and taking a toll on our health.
” Construction jobs swelled by 66,000 “
I’m guessing we’ll be seeing much more of this.
Are you saying they cooked the books down for Trump?
Not at all. I’m saying that Trump is exceeding everyone’s wildest expectations.
The winning just started. As the people’s lives get better, the Dem maniacs will be hard pressed to do anything but STFU.
I know this because Reagan made them eat Crow too. All these manufacturing, oil line, and construction jobs will swell the monthly jobs reports and Trump will bypass the opposition media via Youtube and Twitter.
But we were told that the job situation during the past 8 years was the new normal...
I wonder how many of these new jobs were the one-hour, one-time variety that made up so many “jobs” in the obama era.
Seems like it should be a huge headline on CNBC and they are mentioning it in passing. I suppose if jobs numbers on Friday are also huge, it’ll get harder to downplay it.
Did Obama ever have monthly job creation numbers approaching 300k?
Pretty much every month.......well, according to the MSM....and until reality set in and the number were adjusted to the true level...downwards.
LOL...I was thinking the exact same thing.
Mfg. constituted 33% of all new jobs, but mfg in the entire economy only constitutes 8% of all jobs.
So this is a significant surge in manufacturing employment.
No, never too much winning!
Free Traders are saddened Americans are working again. Look's like a Made in the USA wrench is going to cost $150.00. /sarc
“But we were told that the job situation during the past 8 years was the new normal... “
It would have been if that hissing pit-viper Hillary had won.
They said similar back in the Carter days. That the high unemployment rate was the new normal. Realistically, the actual unemployment rate (and also the underemployment rate) in the Obama days has been equally dismal, but hidden from view by government chicanery and the abundance of part time jobs.
