Live results from the Rutland City mayoral race show that David Allaire has won the Rutland Mayoral race with 51.9% of the vote, unseating incumbent Chris Louras.

Good news.
Just saw a thread today that a Muslim was elected as Vermont's Democratic Party chair on Saturday. May his election bring Rutland results to the rest of the state.
Spent one day and night in Rutland and fell in love with the place. Looked like a Rockwell painting. And the people were wonderful!

Yet the current mayor who lied and brought in refugees won 48%?
Rutland is wonderful. Very close to Killington with excellent east coast skiing, close to Woodstock and also close to the birthplace of Calvin Coolidge.
Unfortunately it is also filled with trust fund babies and loony left moonbats.
Meanwhile the Vermont Rat Party goes full burka.
Vermont Democrat Party picked a Muslim leader, who then claimed this was a clear rebuke of Trump. So can we claim this is a clear repudiation of the Democrat Party? 8>)
I think Vermonters are waking up...Yes, they’ll still be libertarian on rights (including skinny-dipping), but they know that government is a problem.

I highly doubt that. Trump didn’t even crack 30% of the vote there. Hillary didn’t break 60% there because of all the write ins for Bernie.
All Rutland voters did tonight was show they are just as “insensitive” and “xenophobic” as Republicans are.
They showed that citizens don’t expect their elected officials to negotiate secret deals that will affect them by greatly increasing town budgets. We are also tired of our representatives ‘following their conscience’ when they were elected to represent the desires of their constituents. Difficult concept for most Vermont socialists to grasp.

Amen. Hoping even those hard core VT liberals wake up to the mess they are inviting into their midst before it turns in to USA version of sweden.
The children don’t deserve what some of their parents are doing to the area in the name of “love” “diversity” etc phony, selfish, feel good views/acts without truly thinking of detriment attached to the other end of their choices.
