Sewanou Bisile Yoro has been charged with rape, abduction and sexual assault in connection to an assault that occurred in Virginia Beach Saturday night.

This past Christmas holiday a good friend’s nephew was attacked by an Uber driver here in Michigan.........While he sustained knife wounds, he wasn’t seriously injured.

This is why I don’t want my seventeen year-old daughter taking Uber alone. Most of those drivers are decent people, but you never know.

At least with a taxi, there are cameras and license numbers, etc.

I tend to agree. They would certainly get their vetting process in order, and fast.

I drove for goober for a week. Long enough to figure out goober is the only one making money. Min fare of 5 bucks. 2 goes to goober for the (un)safe rider fee then they take 25% of the 3 bucks leaving the driver with less than half the fair. The bulk of rides I ended up with were min fare runs.

If an employee of a company commits a crime against an individual, that company can be sued and held liable.

One man’s “lawsuit lottery” is another man’s “justice before law”.

Companies bear responsibility for the conduct of their employees.

The rape victim in Virginia Beach may have mental and relationship issues the rest of her life.

I’m against frivolous lawsuits (McDonalds coffee spilt, and sued for burns), but not all lawsuits are frivolous.
