These “security agencies” are anything BUT. They are a conspiracy of dangerous geek thugs which need to be controlled. Sometimes the cure is more likely to kill you than the disease.
We have 3 Samsung Smart TVs, too. I pity the fool who is so desperate to be bored that he’d actually use our TVs or PCs to spy on us.
That aside, this so pisses me off and I can’t even wrap my head around what’s going on in America. (Thank you, George Bush, for starting the ball rolling to kill our privacy.)
Wasn’t it about three years ago that someone released information that something in TVs could be used to view what was happening in the room? (Probably that included audio; I can’t remember.) It scared the crap out of me, but the MSM never picked up on it.
That’s been common knowledge for years.
I put my Samsung in cabinet that covers the camera. If they spy on me, all they will see is White Ash.
I’m not that worried about audio tapes of me and wifey moaning... :-)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
John O. Brennan
Director of the Central Intelligence Agency
In office
March 8, 2013 January 20, 2017
The deep state has been in operation for a long, long time, but the asshat Brennan surely took advantage of the opportunity he had to seriously ramp up cyber-surveillance worldwide. Soros => Obama => Brennan
....aka Triad of Evil.
Yes...but what do you talk about?

Mine are unsmart LGs. Haven’t seen THEM mentioned.
“Me and wifey moaning”
You were watching CNN again, weren’t you?
Somebody out there must be working right now on a way to allow a viewer to watch the screen, while simultaneously delivering a blinding flash of light into the retina of the snoop on the other side in the peeping agency.
It really is 1984.
If you suspect that someone is conducting surveillance on you, you don't look for ways to disable it ... you look for ways to deliberately feed them disinformation that will undermine their efforts and/or work to your advantage.
Isn't this exactly why almost every election poll in 2016 was wildly inaccurate?
LOL.
None of the TV’s that we have has a camera lens(Only the one in my bedroom but that is the camera for my Kinect which is always covered) does that mean Im in the clear..my sister has that annoying as heck Alexia in her bedroom its always on I should tell her to turn it off..whenever I go to her house the first thing that comes on is NPR makes you want to go to sleep
No.. that would be YELLING! And, the camera might well capture an incoming pillow.
I still use a backbreaker tube TV I bought in the mid 90s.
It’s outlasted a few digital units.
“..short of just unplugging them when they are not in use...”
I’ve got a CD player and a TV that have issues if left plugged in. (The TV won’t start, and the CD player won’t turn off! Different parts of the house!) I got a single on/off switch that plug into the wall between the wall and the unit. Well, I have mine on a short extension cord so they are within easy reach.
Verizon just sent a voice activated remote control. I don’t think our TV has a mike, although I suppose they could hack it and turn the speakers into mikes? But - the remote would be easy enough.
And of course Alexa is always on and listening (not that we have one).
Those Smart TV’s are full of subscription junk anyway and if don’t want the subscription junk you’re buying a Spy ,LOL
I hope Tucker makes Wikileaks his theme for tonight.
