If you are getting something for free, it’s because somebody else worked to pay for it.
In the Logistics business we say, "When everything is a priority, nothing is a priority."

Unless someone legislates higher minimum wages, I don’t think so.
Remember, the point of this is that employment will be harder to get, there being less demand for human labor.
That means there will be more people, potentially, chasing fewer jobs, to make an extra income beyond basic.
The effect, I think, will reduce wages.
The justification for this policy is that in the future robots and AI’s will be working to pay for it; the human labor contribution in making the robots and AI’s function will be vastly leveraged.
You needed to give your wife $3000 per month from your neighbors account. Another option would be to simply print the money.
Once they institute that policy for real, who will clean the sewers and do all the other nasty jobs required to keep civilized societies intact? With no work requirement it will be impossible unless you pay garbage handlers on the scale of doctors and lawyers! Another expensive unintended consequence.

If you’ve never been to Finland...it only takes about an hour to grasp that everything is expensive. I spent six days in Helsinki around Christmas...which I will admit, it is an interesting town (note: very safe). But you don’t sit down to eat unless you are paying out 15-Euro minimum ($18). I had a pizza with all the trimmings for one person...18 Euro. I would say that a bag of groceries that you’d buy in Germany for 100 Euro....would be at least 125 Euro in Finland. So this 600 bucks a month they are talking about....it’s really not that much. You can have an extra pizza each week...two more cases of beer each month....and maybe go out twice to a cinema each month.

This is a real tough issue.
I worked for an oil company that really went big into gas stations with no human attendants.
People didn’t like them.
Humans want the human touch.
In other words, a demonstration against White Europeans. Cultural suicide. It's that simple.

“But we have also,” continued the management consultant, “run into a small inflation problem on account of the high level of leaf availability, which means that, I gather, the current going rate has something like three deciduous forests buying one ship’s peanut.”
Murmurs of alarm came from the crowd. The management consultant waved them down.
“So in order to obviate this problem,” he continued, “and effectively revalue the leaf, we are about to embark on a massive defoliation campaign, and. . .er, burn down all the forests. I think you’ll all agree that’s a sensible move under the circumstances.”
The crowd seemed a little uncertain about this for a second or two until someone pointed out how much this would increase the value of the leaves in their pockets whereupon they let out whoops of delight and gave the management consultant a standing ovation. The accountants among them looked forward to a profitable autumn aloft and it got an appreciative round from the crowd.”

I’ve been to Finland Spent a little less than a week there. Yes it’s expensive, but that is irrelevant to not reporting the cost of giving away someone else’s money.
Pretty much the same in getting an EBT card for life.
Testing the guaranteed universal income.
Wrong! It is not testing the guaranteed universal income. Giving money to a FEW people is not testing a UNIVERSAL income. This is immediately obvious to me, but not to most Finns. You don’t test a universal system on a limited number of people.
No need to test anyway. I can tell them it will fail, that they will not recognize its failure, and that they will call for a strenghening of this law, which will lead to more failure, which will prompt them to demand a stronger version of the law, (repeat until all Finns are dead)
My kids think money is accessed via an ATM. They had to learn that money is simply a medium for transferring wealth. Then they had to learn that in order to have money you had to generate something of value that would cause people to exchange their wealth for the thing you offered in return.
Once they learned that lesson they lost access to money, my money that is.
Utopian? No. People have been proclaiming the end of “jobs” forever. If I have money I will always have a way to spend it and people will devise ways to pry it out of my hands. The world is not going to run out of jobs.
You need the power to tax an sprint money.
Easy peasy.

Used to work for a guy who had an interesting take on salary increases. His opinion was that people would check for two to three months to make sure the increase was still there but beyond that percentage increases did nothing to change their work or motivational habits. Said people were more successful when they received a one-time bonus of a substantial amount based on extra performance. This was borne out many times by people in his department.
