Nearly 1,000 demonstrators rallied in Lake Oswego Saturday afternoon as several March 4 Trump events broke out across the country.
Approximately 200 demonstrators gathered in George Rogers Park in a show of support for President Donald Trump and against what they said was a biased media and obstruction by Democrats on Capitol Hill.
They were met by a crowd of anti-Trump protesters who had lined the march route on State Street and parked themselves at the intersection where the March 4 Trump would turn and walk back to the park. Anti-Trump organizers say as many as 700 showed up to voice opposition to the president's policies.
As the first wave of Trump supporters made it back to the park, a few dozen rallied together to engage the counter demonstrators in a shouting match on opposite ends of State and Leonard streets.
Chants of "USA" were countered with cries of "black lives matter," which in turn were answered with both "all lives matter" and "blue lives matter."
At one point, police made arrests in connection to incidents at the intersection. Lake Oswego police were aided by officers from Tualatin, Tigard, Portland, West Linn and Gresham as well as other area agencies.
Signs of such disruption were evident even as Trump supporters gathered at the park ahead of the march. Shortly after the crowd sang along to the national anthem, a woman in a light pink shirt walked into the crowd and started screaming, pointing both middle fingers at the picnic area as she did so.

These protests are fast losing their steam. Did they expect America to gawk at these crybabies on a daily basis? If so, are they’re in for a rude awaking.

Wait. It says “several...events broke out”. Since when did events “break out”? I always thought events were “held”. Violence “breaks out”. Events are “held”.

Lake Oswego is one of the swankiest neighborhoods in Oregon...and if I find out my niece was there on the Anti-Trump side...there will be He** to pay
