Trump Cries ‘Witch Hunt’ as Russia Questions Pile Up
NBC News ^ | 3/3/2017 | Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, Carrie Dann

According to President Trump, every new story and development involving his team's contacts with Russia is nothing more than a "total witch hunt." "The Democrats are overplaying their hand," he said in a statement last night reacting to Attorney General Jeff Sessions' recusal from investigations involving the 2016 presidential campaign. "They lost the election and now they have lost their grip on reality." But who has the firmer grasp on reality — the Trump White House or those who are waving their arms that something here doesn't seem right? Consider:

•Trump's national security adviser resigns after not being upfront about his conversations with Russia's ambassador (over whether the issue of sanctions was discussed);

•Trump's attorney general recuses himself after the Washington Post reports he met twice with Russia's envoy — information he didn't disclose in his confirmation hearing;

•Trump's son-in-law and top adviser Jared Kushner also meets with Russia's ambassador in December at the Trump Tower (the ambassador didn't come through the main lobby where cameras and reporters were staking out the comings and goings);

•Two other Trump campaign officials, J.D. Gordon and Carter Page, meet with Russia's ambassador during the GOP convention in Cleveland;

•Page, speaking with MSNBC's Chris Hayes last night, says, "I'm not going to deny that I talked to him… I have may have possibly — might have met him in Cleveland."

And those are just the involvements with Russia's ambassador — the list doesn't include Trump's own favorable statements about Russia or Putin, or Team Trump's non-interest in Russia's hacking during the 2016 election, or old campaign manager Paul Manafort's close ties to pro-Russian individuals. As Nicolle Wallace remarked on "Today" this morning,

To my recollection, NBC never headlined anything with the word "Cries" for Obama. And that whiner cried every time anyone criticized him.

The whole Russian issue has been orchestrated by the Democrats, the Russian Ambassador and the Obama Administration.

Obama changed the classified intel rules to conduct this take over and release info into the personal computers of their lackeys to release this info to the media opposition party.

I can’t watch AM TV “news” anymore, so tell me. Did the NBC truth-benders mention that the Russian ambassador was sitting with dems during President Trump’s speech, or that the ambassador had visited Obama’s WH 22 times?

This is why you NEVER APOLOGIZE. NEVER BACK DOWN. NEVER RESIGN.

Read Vox Day’s book, SJWs always lie to understand their methods and fight back. Sessions, Flynn made the same mistakes and now the SJWs are using their missteps to continue attacking. It will never stop until they are put in their place and you start that by saying, “We don’t give a rat’s ass about...”

This is WHY you never back down.

Sessions should NOT have buckled yesterday.
In retrospect they should not have caved on Flynn either, no matter what happened with Pence.

Trump knows this. He needs to start stiffening the spines of his associates.

The administration needs to prosecute leakers, all of them.

The MSM have created a story that began premised on a Big Foot sighting

Now they have created a Big Foot panic.

This is the power of Fake News.

“This is why you NEVER APOLOGIZE. NEVER BACK DOWN. NEVER RESIGN.”

Yup.

Flynn shouldn’t have resigned, and Sessions shouldn’t have recused himself.

Signs of Weakness.

It’s like using your blinker on 128, you’re announcing to the jungle you’re wounded.

Steve Bannon and Rush are right. The struggle with the left is a WAR where no quarter should be given. Destruction of Trump is the goal of the left. Trump needs to respond in kind. “No prisoners! No prisoners!”

Witch hunt? How about wiretapping of American citizens? Obama and his surrogates should be targeted under the same rules that Obama issued to allow for targeting of the GOP.

What do leakers have to do with this? Everything about the Sessions story involved meetings and hearings that were held in public venues or with multiple people who had no reason to hide what was going on.

Sessions should NOT have buckled yesterday.

Agreed. There is no case currently before him now regarding this phony Russian scandal. I have never seen a 'pre-case recusal' and it gives the uninformed an impression of guilt.

The only reason to make a “pre-case recusal” is so that the AG doesn’t have to answer any questions when THERE IS NO INVESTIGATION — EVER.

“Russia questions pile up”

Suppose we stipulate that Putin preferred Trump to Clinton. Suppose we further stipulate that Putin orchestrated the release of (truthful) information that hurt the Clinton campaign, and led to her defeat.

Now suppose we go a step further and stipulate that Trump sent Sessions, Bannon, Miller, Kushner and Conway to secretly meet with Putin and implore him to tell all.

All that means is that the voters got the (truthful) information they needed.

Putin should get a medal.
