Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.) told CNN's Alisyn Camerota on Thursday that he has met with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. because senators try to meet with all ambassadors to forge relationships with them.
Camerota asked Manchin if he has met Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
"Have you met with the Russian ambassador in your capacity?" she asked.
Manchin said that he not only met with the ambassador, but did so with a group of senators.
"I have," Manchin said. "I have met with the Russian ambassador with a group in my capacity, with a group of other senators."

Someone needs to ask Schmuckie if he ever met with the Russian Ambassador!
“Have you met with the Russian ambassador in your capacity?” she asked.
“I have,” Manchin said.
“I think we lost his connection,” she said.
Great post.
Senator Manchin just pulled the pin on a hand grenage and lobbed it into Chuckie’s and his fellow Rat $inator’s laps!
Manchin is looking more Republican each day.
The BLOWBACK against Manchin from the Democrats will be so great over this that he’ll turn Republican by the end of April.
Saying a few nice words, clapping for Trump once in a while, is one thing - but supporting Sessions when everyone else is piling on, and who is public enemy #2 to the Democrats, in this way, pretty much means the end of his career as a Democrat. They will not want or allow Manchin anywhere near their party.
“Someone needs to ask Schmuckie if he ever met with the Russian Ambassador!”
Excellent question.
Or at least like the democrats I grew up with. They still loved America.
Or, received any money from a foreign entity.
Dear Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.),
might as well change that D to an R.
You keep giving interviews like this and MSM will treat you like an R anyway.
Trump won his state by 43 percent. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him switch parties. By the way, your post made me hungry for some free bacon. :)

(shhh, I do that on purpose.. You are the only one to have ever noticed - ha)
“What we are seeing is a lot of political theater,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said on “Morning Joe.”
“This morning, everyone is in high dudgeon about the meeting,” Cruz continued. “The underlying meeting is a nothing burger. It’s what senators do every day. Meeting with foreign ambassadors, that’s part of the job,” he said.
