Ok, here's my unprovable unsubstantiated theory on what's going on with Sessions. And it's not just because Democrats think that they can get a scalp.

I theorize that deep state moles in the DOJ have tipped of Democrat leaders that Sessions is quietly gathering evidence to take down high ranking Democrats and/or their allies or causes in criminal and civil filings.

Also, the request for a special prosecutor must be resisted because Sessions will get a schlub like Patrick Fitzgerald who will strain to get any possible charge to stick.

Regarding prosecutors, this would be a good time for President Trump to fire all Obama appointed Attorneys General.

As for a special prosecutor in the Sessions case, I nominate Ted Nugent.

Rush just said that President Trump is now weighing in on this subject.
