Unfortunately, Trump inherited Obama's GOP. How soon we forget! They're the ones who promised us in 2010 "If you only give us the House, we'll stop Obama." And we gave them the House. The result? Nothing. Then they said "If you only give us the Senate, we'll stop Obama." And we gave them the Senate. The result? Nothing. And they said "If you only give us the Presidency, we'll make things right - honest Injun!" And they tried to give us Jeb.

I saw a pic of the turtle at the speech - it may have been last night or today - he just looked stunned, his mouth was all but hanging open. That’s ok, Mitch, just stay out of the way.

I saw mm during the live feed (cbs) of the speech. He was a turtle in the headlights. I thought he was desperately trying to figure out how to block Trump’s agenda without looking like a total Franken...
The GOPe wants to find a way to rid themselves of Trump in the worst way. He is like the proverbial new sheriff who wants to clean up the corrupt and lawless town. The rustlers, thieves and desperados will do everything they can can to derail him.
The GOPe is a far bigger problem for Trump than the Democrats are. Make no mistake about it: they are conspiring to pull off a soft coup. McConnell and Ryan are the leaders of this cabal.

No, he won’t surpass Washington. He lead the country into nationhood and turned down the chance to be king. He put his life on the line many times. He saved the country again by keeping his troops from perhaps overthrowing the very government they had fought for, essentially saving the country twice by force of will, cleverness and guts.
If he keeps going the way he’s going, he might reach the stature of Reagan and that would be quite impressive.

It appears he received no suspension or reprimand, nor was he required to make a public apology for his reprehensible on-air comment regarding 13 year-old girls, penises and transgender-access to bathrooms and locker rooms.
If a conservative commentator had made that remark, he'd be fired or put on indefinite suspension.
