Venezuela only has $10.5 billion in foreign reserves left, according to its most recent central bank data. For rest of the year, Venezuela owes roughly $7.2 billion in outstanding debt payments. In 2011, Venezuela had roughly $30 billion in reserves. In 2015, it had $20 billion. The trend can't persist much longer, but it's hard to know exactly when Venezuela will run completely out of cash.

America was down to the last 10 billion about 50 years ago. It sucks Venezuela can’t borrow money like we do. We are always just borrowing. Just watch March 15th when they raise the debt limit again.....and they will. Hell I wish they would just raise it 8 trillion and be done with it since it would last as long as Trump does 8 years. Doesn’t mean you have to spend it.......lol.

At $10 billion, the Trump organization should make a deal to purchase the country (I’m sure the price can be haggled downward) and turn it into a refugee center.

If they really want to rack up some serious debt they should elect Barack Obama.
As I recall, they didn’t vote for it. It was a rigged election and Jimmah came in on his white horse at the last minute and certified the election for Chavez.

Things will get better for Venezuela when they find their own Augusto Pinochet, stage a freedom revolution, install him, and he does a final cleansing of Maduro and the socialists.
They should raise it with the provision that it automatically lowers back in 8 years.
That way it will give Trump the flexibility to do what he needs to do. And we won’t be arguing about it anymore.
But it’s not permanently set high so that the president that follows him, actually has to maintain whatever progress Trump makes on the debt.

You have it exactly right. The polls show Chavez losing like 2-1 and the Carter approved vote count had Chavez winning by the same 2-1 figure. May Carter burn in hell.
