I saw a poll, in which 60% of respondents couldn’t name a single movie which had been nominated for best picture.
That speaks volumes to me.
How many of us will sit through a 3+ hour awards show, to see who wins awards, for movies we have not seen, have never heard of, and have no desire to see?
Will Moonlight suddenly see a spike in viewings now that it won the Oscar???
I read somewhere they are “very bad books made into bad movies that nobody wants to see.” I’d add to that after these two criteria, the next requirement is “a politically correct theme and a properly diverse cast.”
Meanwhile, they are force feeding the viewers a steady diet of the superiority of gay love, black is much better and Trump is the infernal enemy.
They only want their own to be feted, but then they need our numbers.

Some people are simply bent on idol-worship and cannot see these twisted celebrities for what they are.
Technology is almost to the point where it is difficult to tell CGI from reality. People are still not quite right in CGI but close. A computer generated voice that sounds like a real person is still in the future.
However, there will come a time when entire movies are made without real people and the audience can not tell the difference. When that happens the days of actors and actresses will be over.
The change will be like when the movies went from silent to talkies.
“Child stars” will remain child stars for as long as they make money.
“Young actors and actresses” will remain the same age (sort of like comic books) and they will never embarrass the studio with their immature behavior.
If the movie going public accepts the new reality Hollywood as it exist today will be gone forever.
Still leaves it over 30 million, which is a lot of viewers, and apparently profitable. It’s got a long way to go before it’s dead.

The "awards" have lost ALL meaning because they are no longer determined and given on the basis of excellence, but on the color of one's skin, the level of their unAmerican bias, their P.C. dogma and ungodly depravity (the worse the better).
By their own hands and actions they have rendered their "Oscars Awards" totally irrelevant. Hence, from now on they shall be known and referred to as:
"The Affirmative Action Awards"
When recently released ex-con, “Gary from Chicago” is the “Oscar sensation”, you know they are scraping the bottom of the barrel and are wandering aimlessly in the vast wasteland of Hollywood.
Short summary: Nobody wants to see actors giving each other awards for movies that nobody wants to see.

It’s good to know the winners weren’t based on talent. They were based on an agenda most people in the country are against. Keep it up hollywood, and no one will watch your movies anymore. Stupid people are really good at doubling down instead of realizing what they’re doing wrong.
A movie about a child, neglected by his single crack addicted mother, is preyed on by homosexual predators and becomes homosexual. Traded one abusive relationship for another. Way to go hollywood! This is NOT normal and never will be.
