Just in time for Trump, George W. Bush lifts embargo on criticizing successors
American Thinker ^ | February 28, 2017 | J. Marsolo

George W. Bush broke his policy of not attacking a sitting president.  Bush did not criticize or attack Obama but has joined the Opposition Party (Democrats and mainstream media, aka Fake News Media)'s war against Trump.

Bush acted like a punching bag during his second term.  Obama blamed Bush for every problem, but Bush remained silent.  He did not forcefully, if at all, defend his Iraq policy, nor did he respond to the attacks on him by the mainstream media and Democrats like Harry Reid.  Reid called him a loser and said in 2007 the Iraq War was lost.

Reid's irresponsible and disgraceful public statement, arguably treasonous, that the Iraq War was lost encouraged the enemy, which prolonged the war, causing more American casualties.

But Bush feels compelled to attack only Trump.  Bush said in a recent interview that he tried to convince Putin to have an independent press, then added a swipe at Trump by saying, "It's kind of hard to tell others to have an independent free press when we're not willing to have one ourselves[.]"

snip

It is disappointing to see that Bush finally ends his silence not to criticize Obama or Bill Clinton, but to criticize Trump because Trump criticized the same media that attacked Bush mercilessly.

Writer is spot on.

Enemies of the state.

Their robe is off, and only ugliness remains.

Nope.

Now he doesn’t even have the “standing by his principles” badge.

“W’s” credibility has now dropped to zero.

So now we know that attacking Jeb is what it takes to get George to speak out.

Conservatimes NEVER stand by any principles. They compromise their principles to appease the Left every time.

Bush is not unique by being a mewling embarrassment. In 10 years, Conservatives will be defending Transgender rights.

I fully expect Ted Cruz to give impassioned speeches on the Senate floor about tranny equality.

I was told back in 2001 that George W. Bush "was not a good man." I considered the source of the warning to be a congenital Democrat with a case of Sore/Loserman, which was not fair to him. Then in 2004, I attended a Bush rally where I was up close to GWB - my soon shook hands with him, and for reasons still unfathomable by me, he gave me an angry look that would blister paint… it creeped me out, though I let it pass.

By the time my son was into his third ME deployment in six years, I had grown weary of a president who did so little to defend himself, and by extension, his troops. Still clinging to the hope that there wasn't one big Uniparty, I stiffened my upper lip and sucked it up like a good Republican sap. John McCain was good for at least one thing in his life: he got me off my butt and out of the GOP. Still, I should have been fed up enough to have done it because of "Dubya."

I now loathe the Bush family with all the intensity of the true convert. Seeing GWB open his cakehole to trash DJT when he couldn't muster the glands to ever so much as say a peep about Obama reveals the man in all his smallness.

Odd how they took a single line out of an entire interview and then made the entire interview based on a singular comment into an entire article. One inwhich might I add is made up news. I did not see this as an attack on Trump.

Folks will buy into anything that stirs up opposition and I mean anything. The writer and article is ridiculous.

Sadly, there is no loyalty amongst most Republicans. I’m not putting all Republicans in this category because clearly we have some true Republican Patriots. But they are few. With most, it’s all about them and not the country.

The Bushes are not conservative

Of course they are. They abandoned all principles and are the lapdogs of the Left. That's the definition of a Conservative.

The Bush family is loyal to social class, not country. They are Ivy League educated and come from wealthy northeastern aristocratic stock. Conservatism was a disguise both Bush presidents wore to deceive the masses. In office they supported the globalist agenda. The worst mistake Ronald Reagan made was selecting George H.W. Bush as his VP — twice.

The curtain has been pulled back,

This is not a battle against flesh and blood, this is what spiritual wickedness in high places looks like in operation,

Don’t anyone ever forget what your seeing,

The NWO Globalist beast system for the last days is rising up and pushing back,

The Bush family is NWO-lite, they are given over to that thing in the Yale Vault, Jeb was to be the polite loser to Hillary but it didn’t work out as planned, and just like McCain, Romney and a whole host of others given over to the same lawless demonic obama spirit of this age that George Schwartz rules over,

It gives them their power and authority,

Its fighting back because it sees its authority is being eroded or hindered,

I apologize to all the people who for years I sneered at for saying DC was a uniparty town. They were right, and I was wrong.

There is a difference between the parties, but it’s very narrow - MUCH narrower than the official party platforms. The few areas of true disagreement always drift left anyway since that’s the natural inertia of government, and the GOP beltway class isn’t that bothered to go along with it because they’re comfortable and still collecting a check.
