Shortened title.

Full title: Exclusive — President Trump: Oscars ‘Were Focused so Hard on Politics’ They Could Not Get the Basics of the Ceremony Right

President Donald Trump, in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News in the Oval Office, said that the Academy Awards failure on Sunday evening was due in large part to Hollywood’s obsessive focus on politics—attacking him, generally speaking.

Trump told Breitbart News in the exclusive interview that the Oscar fail may have been avoided had Hollywood’s finest focused less on attacking him and more on getting the event’s details right.

The focus of these phony awards shows is to showcase actresses in ridiculously expensive gowns and parrot Democrat talking points attacking President Trump.

The actual awards are not important. If they get screwed up it doesn't even matter.

The screw-up was just a screw-up. It had nothing to do with Trump.

I didn’t watch but it sure seems from the reports, that the whole spectacle was a joke. I agree, they spent the entire evening bashing the guy who wasn’t there. They looked pathetic.

I think Hollywood was so certain Ellison would win, then zero arm-twisted at the second ballot that they HAD to switch the winner to the black gays to avoid losing that constituency.

Perhaps in the future everyone should get a “participated” Oscar.”

The screw-up was just a screw-up. It had nothing to do with Trump.

I saw the video and they corrected the mistake right after some puke made a typical virtue signalling speech. It's fun to watch.

They think they’re being courageous. Let them try this crap in one of their beloved dictatorial Islamic countries. As Dennis Prager said, “There is no courage in Hollywood.”

However, I think movies are great entertainment and a true art form.

Why? Because Trump said so?

Welll, let's see.

On the one hand, I have the opinion of President Trump.

On the other hand I have the opinion of EveningStar.

Hmm.

President Trump. EveningStar. President Trump. EveningStar.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and go with President Trump on this one.

But thanks for your input.

You don’t have to echo the opinions of either President Trump or EveningStar. You can always make up your own mind. It’s allowed in this country. :)

“The screw-up was just a screw-up. It had nothing to do with Trump.”

It sure as hell did. They spent way too much time worrying about every detail on flipping the finger to Trump, that they neglected to do the basics of he task at hand. And it showed in their lack of polish.

Sooo... what?

I can show how independent-minded I am by agreeing with you?

I mean, it was a binary proposition. I either agree with the position taken by Trump, or the position taken by you.

Is there a third path that I — as an aspiring independent thinker — can take, that is neither of the above?

No, not because Trump said so. Because they screwed up the product, period. It’s undeniable. And they focused time and effort elsewhere when they didn’t do it at the most critical point.

Trump does know show business sport.

If the political commissars in the academy would have forgot about the politics, those people could have ensured the process was accurate and orderly as they found a way to honor a coming of age sodomite movie.
