I was just reading the FB page of our local rag.
Last week they ran a gushy story on 3 Mexican brothers who are opening a new eatery in the downtown area.
Today, with their tail between their legs, the story has now changed to include that the 3 were denied a liquor license because all three are here ILLEGALLY.
Talk about STUPID.

Mexico historically never occupied the Western United States.

The treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo allowed the USA to purchase ALL RIGHTS to the territories north of the Rio Grande and later the Gadsden Purchase did the same in return for US GOLD . From what I have read, this is the first time in history that a winner in a war has paid the loser to give up all rights to territory. No different than purchasing Alaska from the Russians. We just did not have to defeat the Russians first.
