If you were charged with a crime, would you want the judge to open the trial by stating that he thinks you are guilty as sin? Think about it.
He’s not voting for him anyway. He’s like a kidnapper asking for ransom when he’s already killed the abductee.

Correct. Gorsuch would not speak to a likely case. He would also not want to have to recuse himself.
A real judge would cite the law and see if it is being followed. So-called judges create law from the bench.
The issue should not be whether a nominee supports - or opposes - a ban per se but rather, whether such a ban is constitutionally valid. That's the only criteria a nominee should be judged on. IMHO
I want to see a REAL one, with the filibustering Senators getting up to the lectern and talking themselves hoarse, tied to the stand until they are ready to drop from exhaustion or exceedingly painful cramps set in, presenting at least semi-relevant summations of why they think Neil Gorsuch is either unfit,<<<

If asked, there is no way Gorsuch could answer how he would vote before he’s heard any arguments.
