The Bushes really fooled me.

Never has the opportunity to roll back decades of entrenched liberalism been squandered more greatly than between January '03 and January '07 when Bush was President and the GOP controlled both the House and Senate.

The Bushes did more damage to the Republican brand than any Democrat. Starting with George H.W. Bush being handed a strong Reagan coalition which he promptly trashed; “Read my lips. No new taxes.” Then he promptly caves to the D’s and raises taxes. Credibility: gone for two elections.

George W. Bush created a new entitlement (Medicare prescription drug plans) and then bungled Iraq to the point it was easy for Obama to give it away.

Jesse Jackson got one thing right: “Stay out da’ bushes.”
