The Trump administration’s pursuit of unauthorized immigrants may have hit a wall in New York City.

City Police Commissioner James O’Neill told officers in an internal memo that the department would not enforce administrative warrants issued by federal immigration agents.

"It is critical that everyone who comes into contact with the NYPD, regardless of their immigration status, be able to identify themselves or seek assistance without hesitation, anxiety or fear," O’Neill wrote in the memo obtained by ABC News.

"The NYPD does not conduct civil immigration enforcement," the memo to rank-and-file officers said. "Specifically, this department does not enforce administrative warrants issued by Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents or federal immigration judges solely in connection with civil immigration

So they are ordered to wait until someone is raped or killed first.
It’s time to start suing these “sanctuaries” and their mayors, congress members and governors for DELIBERATELY leaving CITIZENS in DANGER.

This is actually good; they're feeling the pressure, and the Leninist mayor is in trouble in a financial scandal right now. Do you hear the Commish covering his sorry political butt? He knows how many alien psychos are out there. He could have left it at "not to help in deporting immigrants." He didn't, because he doesn't want to take the fall when the inevitable happens.

I feel sorry for the NYPD rank-and-file, who are tough as nails and no fools. Does this time-server have their backs?

Screw a bunch of law suits - these people are violating the law, aren't they?

Federal immigration law?

Just like this bimbo Sheriff in Travis County - why hasn't she been arrested by - what - Federal Marshals? Border Patrol? ICE? DHS?

Someone has to have the authority to hold these people to account to the law, dammit!

DHS should imbed ICE agents with the NYPD. Even better DOJ imbed US attorneys. If the laws aren’t followed then let heads roll.

I don’t think they will get rid of their voting base until it affects their wallets in a huge way.

Their mere presence risks public safety. We are permitting a critical mass of people into this country who will not honor the basis of our society, which is respect for the rule of law. For these people the rule is law is all right unless it personally inconveniences them. Already many are ignoring laws on driver licenses, car insurance, forgery, identity theft, welfare and tax fraud, and yes, voting rights. When a crisis hits, the rule of law gets really inconvenient but essential for maintaining order.

Start. Locking up those who collude with law breakers. Make these that used the law to line their pockets accountable for upholding and enforcing the law.

Forget suing.

Throw them in jail. Conspiracy, collusion. Encouraging others to break federal laws in their capacity as elected officials.
