It is more than 100 days since Donald Trump was elected president of the US. Would he win again, if the vote were held today?
Many in the US, not to mention the world, are tempted to say: no way. They think all reasonable people must surely be fed up with him by now, after three months of tweets mostly unbecoming of the presidency, scandals over everything from Russia to the Nordstrom department store and an immigration crackdown that has left even legal migrants fearing granny may be next for the deportation bus.
Don’t count on it. In the Midwest American heartland that ushered in this unpredictable era of American history by electing him, the silent white majority appears to be keener on Trump than ever. The other side may be turning out in their hundreds of thousands, clad in cat-eared Pussy Hats to fight the new world order, but the Trump side can’t believe its luck. And it is scoring more converts all the time. Victory is a potent recruitment tool and so is delivering on stump promises. President Trump appears to be doing exactly what middle America elected him to do: fight for native whites, and against illegals of darker hue; save jobs in the US, though not quite so many as he claims; and bring the voice of the forgotten middle to the elitist coasts, where it has not been heard for decades....

Apparently this writer is unaware there are plenty of Americans “of darker hue” that are on President Trumps side. It’s not “hue” we worry about, it’s culture
States like Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan, have to shore up the vote in case other states flip as Colorado has. It really is frustrating.

No immigrants are being deported.
Most illegal aliens aren’t being deported.
Only those with criminal records and deportation orders are being apprehended.
DACA, Obama’s illegal program of giving illegal aliens work permits, still operates as if it were law.
Mainstream(aka leftist) media have opposite analysis of why Trump continues to have broad support.
1) Trump supporters are against darker skinned people.
2) Trump supporters are nativists who support economic growth and jobs for Americans, including African-Americans.
3) Trump supporters are repulsed by the professional protestors, most of whom are college educated whites.
It is a replay of Nixon benefitting from most Americans repulsed by the anti-war protestors.
So which is it? Can the MSM have it both ways?

Just heard on the news that Houston Independent School District is meeting with all high school seniors and signing them up to vote. No mention of the fact that many of them may be in Texas illegally or have parents who are not citizens. Democrat push is on. Harris County Democrat community organizers in full campaign mode.
Well said. The writer is looking for trouble, stoking the divide and plainly inciting racial anger, under the cloak of phrases that point to voices not heard for decades.
