Christie is term-limited and can’t run for reelection. The NJ election is this year.

As head of Republican governors, he earned some chits. But Christie needs to be far away from policy-making. Maybe heading some kind of anti-crime task force.

I shuddered at him cuddling Obummer, too. But he did back Donald all the way in the Presidential race. He’s a tough nut and I think DJT can use him.

Good, I like Christie.

I was put off by him cuddling Obummer, too. But he is a tough nut and I think he can get things done. I love Trump, and I think they are going to need that in this administration, especially dealing with the press.

Yeah, otoh, pizzagate prosecutor might be a good fit. Christie gets to ham it up, which is what he gets out of bed for, and he does have a pretty good kill ratio as prosecutor. A possible pizzagate case just happened in NJ.

I like your idea of giving the Lt. Gov. some time in office. She may actually be a good Gov. She seems to have some guts. I am afraid to say it but our state will never be turned completely around. The corruption on both sides runs too deep.

It’s a mystery to me how this guy isn’t a garbage man somewhere.

Comes off as a corrupt incompetent slob.

Not too mention Obama pass kisser

If Donald Trump hadn't won the nomination, this would have been remembered as the defining moment of the 2016 Republican primaries:

Chris Christie Beats the Sh!t out of Marco Rubio

This is the kind of plain-spoken "you are a useless, empty suit" entertainment we enjoyed from Christie in New Jersey for a number of years.

It's because he's got the best political instincts this side of Donald Trump.

During his first term in office he somehow managed to relegate the New Jersey teachers union to a level of public (dis)respect down there with trial lawyers and child molesters. There aren't too many politicians anywhere in America who could pull that off.

I usually end up trying to type so fast I end up with all kinds of misspellings and grammatical errors and whatnot.

Sure glad I've never done that !

Heh, heh. That was actually the set-up for my punch line. But, looking back on it, it’s funnier.

Christie is ethically challenged

If there's dirt at the FBI they could use Christie to smoke out some more leakers. Give the press some raw meat to choke on for a while. Leak various juicy tidbits about past or present FBI investigations and follow the leakers. When he outlives that bit of usefulness he can resign. Meanwhile the Trump train will keep chugging along.

Back in the early 80s I had a boss who had worked in new jersey tell me...”NJ is the armpit of America”. ..he hated the place...something about the dirty stuff he had to deal with.

I believe the lobby ban was enough to keep Rudy and Newt away, otherwise they would be in the admin.
