No, the president can’t change the personnel regulations. The Fed govt has a union and it has contracts, and those contracts quote the regs.

Look, this isn’t even debateable. He can remove them from positions. He can’t cut pay, he can’t relocate them more than 50 miles from previous place of work, he can’t make working conditions horrible. All that is lawsuits he would lose.

You guys only have a vague notion of what federal employee regs are and what the unions secured. It’s far worse than you think. YOU CAN’T DO THESE THINGS. The courts have to adjudicate by rule of contract law and these things are all in contracts.

Hell, you can’t even get pensions cut without the courts saying no. You think you can get people put into buildings with no facilities? You have no clue.

Then we should change the law. No union should be allowed to form that goes against “We the people.” Government workers should never be allowed to unionize.

Hating on government employees is very popular particularly among the Chest Beating crowd.

Pensions for ex-feds are in no way outrageous nor does the unions prevent firing for cause. Lying about your credentials is a good way to get fired.

About a third of gov employees vote conservative. Most do a good job.

Fine. Do the soon-to-be-former employees have 4 years of lawyer fee money? It will be intentionally tied up in courts for years. Trump is a master of working with lawyers and why he is the biggest threat to the status quo in modern times.

You say all these things that cannot be done to GS employees but on the base where I've worked since June 1988 GS are canned all the time. Some 13 and 14's. You just have yo know what to put on the paperwork.

One need only think outside the box. I remember a whole bunch of air-traffic controllers that told Reagan they couldn’t be fired. How’d that work out?

In any event, I would let everyone know that investigations into sedition, spying and plotting to overthrow the US Government are beginning. That we will be pursuing the hardest penalties available to any and all teams involved. Now is your chance to come clean or submit your resignation.

Let them flush each other out. Send a few to club fed, a few more “disappear” in boating accidents and soon the message will be clear: We won’t tolerate treasonous bastards any more.
