There is a vast and exceedingly complex tapestry of laws, rules and regulations that govern the behavior of government officials. In past administrations, those laws, rules and regulations have been very selectively enforced, but now the “deep state” intends to use them as weapons against the Trump administration.

It might 'be' the world we live in - - but that's not an excuse for giving in to the thugs. Downsize every department in Washington by 70%. Then deal with the chaos -- add temp workers in year or two. Freeze all full time hiring. By the time eight years is up the swamp will be drained.

The problem is only those Trump appointed who were NOT politicians are the only ones he can trust. I don’t know how low in rank you’d have to go to find a loyal soldier. I wouldn’t trust anyone about a colonel. So, it would be difficult to use the military to take out the shadow government.
