LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bill Maher's decision to book conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos on his HBO show drew quick condemnation from another guest.
Jeremy Scahill, a journalist who's appeared frequently on "Real Time with Bill Maher," posted on Twitter that he won't appear as a panelist Friday because of Yiannopoulos and what he represents.
"He has ample venues to spew his hateful diatribes. There is no value in 'debating' him," Scahill tweeted. Appearing on Maher's show will give Yiannopoulos a major platform for "his racist, anti-immigrant campaign," wrote Scahill, co-founding editor of The Intercept news website.
In an email Wednesday to The Associated Press, Yiannopoulos said that "public shaming and grandstanding don't work any more. ... Thanks for proving my point for me, Jeremy Scahill! You can look forward to pulling out of a lot more shows in the next few decades."

I don’t know, I’ve watched a couple of YouTube videos of Milo, I must have missed the one where he was a provacateur? Maybe I’m not bright enough to see it, I just thought he was amazingly entertaining, witty and flat out fun

If you look online, Milo invites the screamers and name callers at his events to explain their positions and engage in open debate. The few (very few) that take him up on it lose the debate. The rest just continue to yell.
Leftists have gone from debating to sticking their fingers in their ears and yelling “NAZI NAZI NAZI” with anyone who questions their agenda.
Good news for us as young people are wising up. Story out today that Generation Z was very conservative. When you’ve got an entire generation of liberals who can’t make a case for their point of view it’s easy to see how we’re winning new followers.
I think that Jeremy knew he wasn't going to put a vicious terroristic beatdown on Milo on live TeeVee, so he canceled.
