Hasakah Kurdish female fighters of the Womens Protection Units (YPJ) on Monday clashed with Turkish Army forces near the town of Amude, in Syrias northeastern Hasakah Governorate.
The clashes followed an attempt by the Turkish military troops to enter the Kurdish territory in northeastern Syria, where Turkey continues to build a concrete wall alongside the borderline.
The Turkish Army on Monday entered the border village of Kharza, located about 10 kilometre west of Amude town. However, a YPJ unit opened fire on the Turkish convoy to prevent its progress, a YPJ officer told ARA News.
Clashes broke out in the vicinity of Kharza village, where our forces used heavy machine guns to push the Turkish troops back, the Kurdish officer said.
At least two Kurdish female fighters were injured in the clashes.
It was not immediately clear whether the clashes resulted in any casualties among the Turkish troops.
After three hours of sporadic clashes, the Turkish Army was forced to withdraw. They retreated towards the Turkish side of the border, the YPJ officer told ARA News.
Kurdish officials condemned Turkeys attempts to build border walls near Rojavas cantonsKobani, Efrin and Hasakah province.
Last week, the Turkish Army shelled the Kurdish district of Afrin in northwestern Aleppo, targeting the villages of Maranaaz, Vilat al-Qadi and Sheikh Issa after entering the Syrian territory.
They are told Erdogan is GOD. He thinks he is GOD. God knows he is NOT.
Females will be quickly dispatched crying as the go. This is FAKE news!!
Some f these women are beautiful. Like the IDF sent some up north to help out.
Did you forget the /sarc tag? Or are you serious?
I am serious as cancer.
Agreed. And this post is worthless without pictures.
Actually it is NOT.
While I am against women being put into combat roles as part of a standing voluntarily army, these women are fighting for their lives and to not be gang raped etc. They are not some bunch of feminists making a political point.
Your post is highly disparaging and offensive to them and to me as the friend of several rape survivors.
I hope IBTZ.
I could not care less.
I am so sorry. I didn’t realize I was offending rape victems. Please forgive me. I was disparaging putting precious women in combat. M7y mother was a woman!! Please forgive me /sarc/

Wow, you are really displaying your ignorance of Kurdish female warriors. They are NOT easily cowed.
Do some solid research and drill down.
There have been several articles the past few months showing ME women in combat units. The Middle East is a different culture than ours, where women are not a protected class as here. They grow up in a very hard environment, often treated like trash, subject to murder & rape. These women will fight for their lives, literally & willingly.
Actually, fighting women have been all over the place, from the Soviet Army of WWII to the IDF of today.
Give a woman a gun, corner her, she will kill.
Really?
Just revieiwed your posting history. While a newbie, you don’t actually appear to be a troll. I suspected you were.
Maybe I am misconstruing your comments on this thread. That said, your comments here really are highly offensive. They are also the kind of things the other side uses against us.
PS Sorry to keep copying you, darkwing104 and Mr. Robinson, but thought we had a class A troll here. Was calling for some lightning. Just want to keep you in the loop on my (partial) recantment. Won’t comment further.
I still say we should have crushed Iraq, broke it up along ethnic lines and rewarded Turkey for its last minute perfidy in denying us the promised access to northern Iraq through Turkey with a brand spanking new Kurdistan on its border.
Perhaps we could do this to Syria at some point?
I think some are moving toward a bigger game. A revamp of the nation along secular lines and cut into independent regions in a Federated structure. I think the Kurds want to totally reshape the way it operates. I’m not sure about Ocalan’s ideas, Kurds love him. I have real reservations about that.
If they help Assad to liberate it, they want local control.
I see no evidence that Assad will accept that. But it would be the best for the people if they would agree to it.
Sounds like Turkey is faking a “fight against ISIS” to fight against the hated Kurds.
