President Nicolás Maduro has expelled CNN after accusing the international news outlet of “manipulating” information about Venezuela.
Maduro said Sunday he wants CNN “outside” Venezuela after he claimed the news channel manipulated information about a student’s complaint regarding the lack of food at school.
“Some media like CNN tried to manipulate information,” he said. “They can not manipulate information like that, it’s our affair, of Venezuelans. CNN does not need to put its nose in Venezuela … I want CNN well away from here.”

I prefer freedom of speech. They shouldn’t have to be kicked out. Ratings will decide and you are free to boycott those that advertise with them.

There is a distinct difference between freedom of speech and purposeful indoctrination and lying in my book.
The way to look at it is this: SOCIALIST country kicks out news agency for not reporting what they want it to report.
The irony is they were reporting on another of the failures of socialism, which we wish they would do here in the USA.
The fact that CNN makes up stuff as they go through the news day doesn’t mean that Venezuela isn’t having major internal logistics problems. It does, however, make them a bit like the little boy that cried “Wolf!”. Why should anyone believe any story on that network? Sadly for the people of Venezuela, they never had the RKBA - it gets in the way of dictators, don’t cha know?

The country has experienced food shortages. When the public eats the animals found in their zoos, that cannot be considered a good thing.
That they still continue to espouse public education is a misnomer in itself. WHO would they be teaching and WHO would be doing so?
