The left just hates the truth. Bergdhal is a traitor and that is factual.

Trump’s actions one way or the other have no bearing on the guilt or innocence to the acts that necessitated UCMJ action. He may have some purview over the verdict, but nothing more, really. The little sh!t is guilty of desertion and treason. He needs to face his deeds.

The ONLY truth that leftist freaks accept is ANYTHING they deem useful for the destruction of America and anyone who doesn’t hate America and all for which we stand.

Truth is totally variable for the mindless haters.

Sorry Bowe, you’re not making your arguments before the 9th circus. Looks like you will have to be judged according to actual law.

Wouldn’t Obama’s support and praise offset whatever Trump said?

Charles Manson’s lawyer tried to use this type of defense to get a mistrial after Nixon declared Manson guilty. It didn’t work.

Manson tried the same tactic after Nixon shot off his mouth about the Tate/LaBianca murders.

It didn’t work.

Any comments Trump may have made were gleaned from what every intelligent person in this country was thinking and saying. Were this a civil trial the jury pool would consist of these very same people, not Presidents. If anything military jurists are likely to be more biased against a deserter.

The statements were not made by Pres Trump. They were made by private citizen Trump.

In fact, even if another officer not in Bergdahl’s chain of command made a derogatory comment, that would not constitute unlawful command influence. It would have to take someone in his chain of command for UCI to hold. President Trump is now in his chain of command. What the President says makes a difference. But anything a private citizen said must take a backseat to what the man now in the commander-in-chief seat says.

OK - change the venue to Afghanistan - where the crimes were committed...if he gets off, let him stay there.

Go right ahead, and a board of 7 military officers will decide if such comments will have any effect on them.

Don't know much about the UCMJ (almost nothing,in fact) but I've read one or two things about “undue command influence”.Of course Trump was just a private citizen when he declared this pig to be guilty.

What? They didn’t try him in eight years? Tough luck, son. You should have pushed for trial when Barry was in charge. Hope they hang you.

Is this a military trial or a civil trial? Don’t think it is an issue in a military trial as all officers in the jury are under code of conduct? Might be an issue in a civil trial but it just means you move the trial?

So....................it is grandstanding?

Waiting to be corrected by those in the know.

Certainly, Bergdahl can get a fair trial, he can plead guilty or be convicted guilty by a jury.
