Man Found Not Guilty of Beheading Bus Passenger Due to Mental Illness Is Set Free (Also Cannibal)

A Canadian man who was found not guilty for the beheading and cannibalizing of a Greyhound bus passenger due to mental illness has been set free. Manitoba’s Criminal Code Review Board announced that it gave Will Baker, formerly known as Vince Li, an absolute discharge Friday, meaning he is no longer subject to any conditions or monitoring, the Associated Press reported.

The board “is of the opinion that the weight of evidence does not substantiate that Mr. Baker poses a significant threat to the safety of the public,” according to the decision.

Baker’s doctor, Jeffrey Waldman, told the board he was confident Baker would continue to take his medication and work with the treatment team.

I worked with a guy whose 20-year old daughter was a schizophrenic under heavy med control. She was more than capable of going into rage and fits when no meds were the solution. I admit...it’s simply doping them up enough that they aren’t capable of doing much of anything. But no one wants to put these folks into a facility or permanent care operation.

There also were photos of Mangan-Valle’s friends.

One would be stuffed in a suitcase and delivered “for rape and murder.” Another two were “going to be raped in front of each other to heighten their fears.” And another was to be roasted alive over an open fire, she said.

In an opinion issued Thursday morning, the U.S. Second Circuit Court of appeals upheld disgraced former NYPD officer Valle’s acquittal of charges that he conspired to kidnap, kill, and eat women.

Valle was convicted of the kidnapping conspiracy in March 2013 after prosecutors revealed blood-curdling chatroom discussions where he talked about his creepy cannibalism fetish.

This must be changed from not guilty by reason of insanity to GUILTY BUT INSANE.

Frankly there are lots of severely mentally ill people out there and only a very small percentage lose themselves enough to maim or kill. And if they lose to that degree, they will most likely lose to that degree again. Fact of life.

So a murderer who is insane needs to be treated like a murderer who is not insane. Do not consider rehabilitation, do not consider them “fixed.” Consider them a person, who when insane, kills.

No the drugs wont make it worse. The drugs for many feel like a mental straightjacket. The go off the drugs, then they get worse.
