According to a report by NBC News, US intelligence has gathered information indicating that the Russian government is considering handing over Edward Snowden, the notorious NSA leaker and American fugitive, as a way of getting into the good graces of President Donald Trump.
Per sources, this is one of a number of tactics Russia is looking into when it comes to offering up gifts to Trump, specifically since Trump has spoken critically of Snowden in the past.
U.S. intelligence has collected information that Russia is considering turning over Edward Snowden as a gift to President Donald Trump who has called the NSA leaker a spy and a traitor who deserves to be executed.
Thats according to a senior U.S. official who has analyzed a series of highly sensitive intelligence reports detailing Russian deliberations and who says a Snowden handover is one of various ploys to curry favor with Trump. A second source in the intelligence community confirms the intelligence about the Russian conversations and notes it has been gathered since the inauguration.
Snowdens lawyer says they are not aware of any proposals that would send Snowden back to the United States, and as of now, has no reason for concern.
NBC News spoke to a former deputy national security adviser who offered up a warning to Trump not to immediately accept this gesture from Vladimir Putin, as it would be a win-win for Putin since its likely the Russian government has already obtained any information they wanted from Snowden by now.
Russia already used him like a whore.
It’s like giving a used whore back to its pimp.
Let him rot here and look over his shoulder the rest of his life. NEVER able to leave.
Maybe Trump will work out a trade with Putin - Snowden for Soros.
Fake or not, Snowden is a traitor. And I don’t use that word flippantly.
Snowden says; “Hmmm, I don’t remember anyone asking me about this!”
Throw in the Super Bowl Ring you stole and it’s a deal!
When we get hold of him, (1) sincerely thank him for telling us the US government was unconstitutionally spying on the telephone calls and emails of the entire American citizenry without warrants, and then (2) let’s waterboard him to make sure we know everything about US intel he collected and whom he passed it on to.
Speculation. Smoke/Mirrors/Misdirection. I refuse to take their bait!
News to me!! All I am hearing in the last hour is how Flynn called Russia before Trump was sworn in.
Maybe we could trade William Jefferson and Barney Frank and MCCain for him.
Yes , fake news. There’s nothing they would like better than the chaos that would follow Snowden’s coming back to the US.The time might be right a few years from now, but anytime soon would be adding fuel to all the manufactured Trump fires being set every day.Not even worth thinking about, and “currying favor” with Trump by “sending” Snowden back here is another false narrative designed to further confound Trump and his image, which is under assault 24/7-—it’s a real Amateur Hour way of framing such a scenario.

From your lips to God’s ear.
I doubt that this is even for REAL "news"!
Why would Russia accept a lousy trade like that?
Please, Donald, don’t take him, pretend it wasn’t offered.
Chelsea Manning was despicable. Bergdahl was despicable. My feelings about Snowden are much more charitable—maybe 50-50 on violating his trust versus it’s something we really needed to know.
Edward Snowden unconcerned with possibility of being extradited under President Donald Trump

SPOT ON and all of the posters calling Snowden a “hero” are nuts!
Give Soros to Russia would be good. Hehee.
