I know I wouldn't be going to a Church that had these views.
Lou Dobbs said Gorsuch owed Pres. Trump an apology. He didn't have to make any comments on this on-going case that may end up at the Supreme Court, let alone bad mouth Trump to DEMs.
I think it's funny. He's backstabbing Trump and the Dem backstabs him.
I hope he doesn't get confirmed.
It doesn't say what the views of this Church are on abortion, but if the female rector went to the Woman's March against Trump, I bet she has liberal views on abortion.
Right at the moment, I recon the closes thing I could be called is a Catholic. Don’t subscribe to this Pope’s teachings AT ALL.
"I am the way...?" Humph. Sounds homophobic.
But there are many 'piskies who disregard all that as just posturing, and retain their faith. Let's hope Gorsuch is one such.
Blumenthal may be lying.
Can’t afford to make a mistake on something as significant as a Supreme Court Justice pick. Whoa Nelly. Trust but verify.
So it’s looking like Trump basically picked David Souter to replace Scalia. If this is true, I’m back off the Trump Train.
WTF? How did this not get noticed before the selection?
This guy has been on Trump’s list for how many months? Almost a year? And now after he’s been the nominee for a couple of weeks people are just now learning about some of this.
He was universally praised as the most Scalia like just a couple of weeks ago. Maybe Trump was given a list of stealth judges by some of the usual think tanks and know-it-alls. Not very encouraging and the extent of such mistakes, if this is a mistake, is only realized over the years.
Very troubling. God does not approve of homosexual acts, so this church “leader” is wrong. Clearly, Gorsuch is sitting under heresy.
President Trump needs to find a better choice for our nation.
Judge Andrew S. Hanen, southern district of Texas would be a good nominee, IMO. But very tough to confirm right now.
Something about Gorsuch didn’t ring true when Trump rolled him out. My gut didn’t like him, but I didn’t speak up because everybody here was fawning over him.
If Gorsuch is a wolf in sheep’s clothing the Dems would want him while certainly putting up a fake snit of a head fake. Doesn’t jive with the RAT Senator backstabbing him with what was supposedly said about Trump.
He DID??
The spokes person for Gorsuch verified he DID make those derogatory statements about President Trump.
This job he has nominated for is way too important to the course of the Supreme Court to just defend it with ‘on the other hand’.
How hard is it to nominate a born again evangelical solid conservative judge?
This pretty much describes any Episcopalian church I have known. I was bothered when I heard he was an Episcopalian, otherwise known as the Anglican church in America because it is hard to keep an orthodox, pro-life Christian point of view while under that influence.
My father’s side is all Episcopalian and they like to describe themselves as Catholic-lite to which my response is yeah and a Nerf ball is a lite bowling ball. My aunt, God rest her soul, was the only regular church goer among them and she was pretty liberal- supporting the “marriage” of my lesbian aunt and encouraging my dad’s book on Buddhist meditation.
“Lou Dobbs said Gorsuch owed Pres. Trump an apology.”
Laura Ingraham also was pissed off about what Gorsuch said.
It seems this man is one of those incredibly arrogant people who disguises the arrogance in a cloak of feigned humility. What, in Heaven’s name, would cause him to criticize the President who has given him the most wonderful career opportunity in his lifetime?
“I hope he doesn’t get confirmed.”
I’m leaning in that direction, too.
Some people belong to churches that have become mega-liberal but might not have been that way 30, 40 years ago when they grew up in it. That’s not an excuse; but some people’s families have been in these churches for the longest time. I’m not going to name names but it’s not just the Episcopalians that deal with this though they might be the most stark example.
The only real Church-going Conservatives then, might come out of the Southern Baptists.
Actually, our Court is low on Evangelicals and I have given this thought to it.
Conservative outlets like Nation of Marriage like this guy, Cruz likes him. So, I don’t know.
Are you seriously falling for this hogwash?
From the column, the “Rev. Ted Howard [from the church Gorsuch is a member] also signed a letter slamming the ‘disrespectful rhetoric’ directed at Islam as Trump floated a ban on Muslim immigrants...”
Is this not what Gorsuch himself has done toward the Trump ‘tweets’?
While there could be a liberal false flag effort to derail this nomination, it appears Gorsuch is following after the positions of those in his own social network (church).
Even if he is a strict Constitutionalist, are we willing to take the chance with a position which cannot be touched by voters once appointed?
To me this is stupid!
