The University of Minnesotas Department of Housing and Residence Life declined to rehire a student community adviser at Frontier Residence Hall, apparently based not on her workplace competency, but her political views.
The universitys rehiring process for community advisers (CAs) is based off of performance reviews by the resident directors (RD) of each building, and Justine Schwarzs performance review was conducted by Sean Smallwood, the resident director at Frontier Hall.

Well heck yeah. Get on board or update your resume. Did she also deny climate discombobulation?
This ought to be worth a few 100k...plus the naming of a dorm for her.
Sean Smallwood” - it’s possible he’s compensating for something...
Smallwood, major 12 year old tee-hee. Smallwood is the one who need an attitude adjustment. She should sue both the school and Smallwood.
I was turned down for a position as head RA. They hired some 20 year old. They told me I lacked the experience. I had been ship’s guide on the USS Saipan, I had been a barracks Sgt, I had been a FO for 81s, I had called arty, air craft and 5in naval, I had been a PMI and I was thought to have less experience than 20 year old who had never held a job. Schools are more interested in your “diversity statement” than in your abilities or real experience. They have zero interest in teaching.
Yeah, having small wood.
The 20-year-old was probably the child of an alum who gives them a lot of money.
Could also be that she turned down “Smallwood” on a date...for multiple obvious reasons.
Hehe...."Sean Smallwood and The Angry Inch".
Public money. Sue them till they scream for mercy.
Smallwood wants to demonstrate he’s a Man of Steel (a Stalin).
Use one of the left’s favorite tools - SUE their butts off.
With a name like Sean Smallwood the jokes just wrote themselves
In the long run, this is probably good for her. She’ll get a job in the real world and won’t be polluted by toxic PC social justice nonsense.
Actually, they recognized that you had abundant experience of the “wrong” kind, and would therefore be very effective in a way they did not want.
I consulted in academia for about 5 minutes, right in the belly of the beast.
First thing that I learned is that "Success Breeds Expectations". If you never succeed at anything, than no one ever expects you to accomplish a dammed thing, and you can coast along comfortably into a cushy, if not plush, retirement.
I worked with people who'd been at this particular school for 30 years who couldn't concisely tell me what their jobs were for, or what they did for work. But they'd collected a decent salary and incredible bennies for an entire generation plus of students.
Hated every minute of working there, but it gave me real insight into the twisted and convoluted workings of a liberal mind.
School and Football Team backed BLM and tore up the School and Football Team with Coaches approval had a strike
The next Year Alum donations dropped by 40 Million and Student enrollment dropped where they had to close two dorm buildings
this is why school is so dam expensive. I bet you could get rid of half of the university administrators and the school would run smother.
People pay money to have their children indoctrinated at this institution? This is insane.
