They will bend politically correct terms when required to use “Trump” and “illegal” in the same headline.

That vote allowing the two Pub women to vote NO, was pre-planned by the Pubs before the vote was ever taken. They do this all the time, knowing exactly how many YES votes they are going to get, and that Pence would cast the tie-breaking vote.
The Pubs “allowed” the two NO votes because of the liberal propensities of the states the women come from, and the alliances with their teacher constituents who could otherwise make life miserable for them at re-election time if they voted YES. So this was an agreed upon vote by the Pubs.
Both sides (Dems/Pubs) do head counts and then figure out how many of their members in shaky political states or districts with large constituencies backing specific issues, can vote in the negative, just as long as it won’t affect the outcome of the actual vote.
IMO he was Trump’s worst pick anyway.
At least Linda Chavez and Zoe Baird withdrew when similar allegations came out. Besides, I don’t think Puzder’s heart is in it. He’s been dragging his feet all along.

That is usually a positive attribute for the Dems. Not in this case. He should pay a substantial fine and make a large contribution to the treasury to build the wall.
Apparently they are undocumented immigrants unless a Republican hires one and then they are referred to as ILLEGAL immigrants.
His best move would be to say he DID know and employed her anyway because it would be UN-AMERICAN, to use their words, to deny her an opportunity to get ahead.

Puzzler says he was unaware that he hired an illegal alien or to put it more clearly, he was unaware that he was breaking the law.
Being unaware that you are breaking the law is always an excuse that is always accepted by the police, prosecutors, judges and juries.
So, the next time you are accused of breaking a law, simply tell everyone that you were unaware of the law.
