I think for them right now it’s about many in their base losing that government assistance money and the right to government sponsored abortion.

These are the perks that most democratic politicians rely on to keep their base satisfied and voting for them.

Rahm Emanual is not the devil. He is not a Tyrant. You should see the people who want to replace him. The two big contenders are the head of the Teachers union and the head of the city government workers. Rahm is a democrat. Rahm is an ass. But if you want to destroy Chicago. If you want the very worst of the democrat thugs in charge. Then take down Rham and watch what happens. It is like getting rid of a middle east dictator. The forces that will fill the void are very bad.

Rham is for smaller government but the government unions won’t allow it. Rham is for Charter schools in Chicago. But the Teachers union chased his School Board President out of town. Rham is for more cops on the street but the cops won’t let him computerize so he can get cops out of the office and put them on the street. You are never getting a republican in Chicago. Rham is the closest thing you will get.

I don’t know if you are a democrat. Or if you just have no idea what you are talking about. But if Rham leaves, Chicago will die, a quick government union death like New York City in 1975.
