The New York Assembly moved Monday to establish New York as a sanctuary state, but the measure faces an uncertain future in the state Senate.

Of all the hills to stand and die on, this one is a very poor choice.
A clear majority of voters want to stop illegal immigration.
What I want to see is a Republican asking if illegal immigration is good for the black community. After all of the blather about the "white working class," I started wondering what the black working class thought about losing their jobs to illegal immigrants...

Make it happen and have NY do a NYexit like the Calexit.
We would eliminate 4 radical rat sinators and a lot of rat congressits.
That would destroy the rat party forever. They could never win another national election nor control Congress again.
Sue them. Punish them. Arrest them.

NY republicans often run against fellow republicans to support the democrat. Unfortunately, NYC controls the state.
I half wonder if Little Andy makes us a sanctuary state that it might be the tipping point that drives him from office.
New York is very much a Blue State, but always more rational than California. I expect this measure to not get through the State Senate. If it becomes law, Trump should cut all funding to New York.
It is important for them to do this.
They need to stand on principle about this.
Trump needs to stand on principle as well. No Federal funding for NYS.

Immigrants don’t need a sanctuary because they have complied with the laws.
The people the Democrats want to help avoid deportation are illegal aliens, citizens of other countries that broke into our country.
State Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan, a Republican, is seen as a Long Island RINO. He can’t do anything.
Upstate, which is almost the entire state, and which is almost entirely rural, went heavily for Trump. It's also heavily armed. If the 'flakes in all those Assembly districts like Brooklyn Heights all want to keep a Moslem Somali or two in their own apartments, well, who cares? But that crap isn't happening upstate.
When Congress “calls forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union and suppress Insurrections” the state legislators will be taken prisoner and will cool their jets in the brig while they await trial. They might want to think about that.
Fine. No taxpayer money to the state. It’s completely cut off.
That’s a great idea but what do they do when they run out of other people’s money?
THE SOLUTION: Don’t cut off federal funds that will hurt their police department. Charge these bastards politicians for the felonies they are committing; aiding and abetting criminals.
Most people don't realize that New York City's (5) Five burroughs have an equal population as all of Conservative Upstate. Then throw in Long Island for extra DemoRATS.
The City is DemoRAT controlled, and we have 'Little Andy', current governor, who is running the State bankrupt to get more camera time so he can run for President in 2020.
Little Andy barely got re-elected as governor, even though Christie (holder of Repubbie $$) refused to give any financial help to the NYS repubbie candidate who ran on a shoestring.
Cuomo would rather bankrupt the State so he can look good to the Liberals/ Progressives, and he will be aided and funded by the NYC DemoRATS in that endeavor .
New York as a Sanctuary State will definitely go "belly up" for Cuomo's camera time !
