As a movement to boycott businesses that do business with the Trump family heats up, Macy's is under pressure to dump Ivanka Trump's fashion brand.
With Nordstrom announcing on Thursday that it had decided to stop selling Ivanka Trump's brand, reportedly due to declining sales, customers have taken to Macy's social media pages to demand the retailer do the same.
"Nordstrom dumped Trump, please follow suit," reads one of many similar comments on Macy's Facebook page. "I would never put plastic Ivanka Trump boots on my little daughter."

One customer claimed she was told by a customer service representative that the company is in the process of dropping Ivanka's apparel and shoe lines. Macy's didn't immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.
The pressure seems to be coming from inside the company as well. According to an internal source at Macy's, some corporate employees are uncomfortable with their roles selling and marketing Ivanka Trump's brand following the election of Donald Trump.
"Hopefully they stop," an internal Macy's source told Business Insider, referencing the company's declining sales. "They can't lose any more money than they already are."

If Macy’s wants the same, they should follow suit. Don’t need them, don’t need what they sell. They should remember that, it’s not easy surviving in retail...losing customers over politics is not a good business practice.

Just remember, half of America won’t be happy with you. Stay out of politics and sell your merchandise.
If Ivanka’s products truly do not sell well, they should dump them. If they do sell well, the company is run by fools if they drop them.
Cut up your card and mail the pieces to Macy’s.
Macy’s has bigger problems than whether to sell the Ivanka line.
So, economic blackmail to get their way is fine with liberals.

It does not always even need to be politics. Don’t like your dog barking? Send the building inspector to find something wrong and ‘fine’ you. Don’t like your political views? Send the IRS to audit you, or hold up your applications. Revoke your licenses.

The Ivanka Trump brand may go the way of the Do-Do bird, but, either way, Macy’s stands to lose 50% of their customer base.
I think they’d be wise to keep the brand after the dive they took on the Trump Tie fiasco. Most liberals shop at Walmart and the Dollar Store anyway.
Macy’s, and Nordstom, are on a slippery slope.
Pick CNN’s top advertiser. Tell them to get rid of (insert name here) or we will boycott. Then follow through.

I haven’t shopped at Macy’s in a dog’s age. I think the last thing I bought there was a beautiful jacket for a fraction of the regular price. That was rare that I found something I wanted there. Mostly, their clothes have become too Euro-trash looking for me.
The “Bing” homepage has a prominently displaled link to a “Business Insider” article listing the companies that have severed their ties to the Trump family.
Corporate America, especially the Orwellian fascists headquartered in Silicon Valley, run this country. You peons out there can take your “republic” and shove it.
