If an ad is so convoluted it has to be explained,
it’s not a good ad.

The entire thing is a fantasy of propaganda.

No, woman and her little child would make it on their own. They’d be using Coyotes and smuggling cocaine...or be sex slaves (or dead long before they got to the “wall”).

Idiotic fantasy...which many will think is truth. Destructive and ludicrous, both.

Stupid ad. A mother and her young daughter entering the United States illegally equals two new welfare recipients. The kid is $20,000+ in food and education expenses and the woman equals $15,000 in free media care and housing expenses.

All so 84 Lumber’s owner can have a maid and nanny at slave wages while virtue signaling that she is a good person. Meanwhile her customers that utilize legal workers are driven out of business by employers that utilize illegals.

Maybe he needs a serious attitude adjustment:

My guess is that 84 Lumber knows that a huge percentage of houses are built with illegal labor because it’s cheaper. If the supply of illegal labor is cut off then less houses get built, which means less lumber sales by 84.

They only care about their bottom line.
BTW, hardware/lumber stores were the first place I ever saw bilingual signs.

The Hyundai commercial that was filmed during the disaster bowl (Atlanta resident here) was by far the best.

You're already in deep $hit when you have to EXPLAIN your advertising.

Good advertising needs NO explanation.

Homo Depot is pretty much draped in the rainbow flag, so how is it conservative?

They are a privately owned company who has the daughter of the founder as the President and Owner.

They should be driven into bankruptcy and she should be driven into poverty by a competitor who doesn’t promote the wholesale breaking of our immigration laws and the decline of our middle class.

84 Lumbers are rare....and they’re going to be rarer after this. I get it..they’re getting a lot of buzz right now. But who do they think their best customers are going to be?? Leftists who live in tiny apartments in cities? Or those who own homes and businesses throughout the country and need building materials?? What colossal idiots.

“Home Depot is the most Conservative out of all of them.”

I guess that’s why Home Depot’s co-founder, Arthur Blank chose to bash Trump on national TV yesterday.

Absolutely, they are trying to expand further into the illegal construction workers market who buy a lot of raw materials and other products and services (equipment rental) etc. by showing compassion for their plight. Here in Texas, it’s relevantly easy to hire companies owned by and composed of illegal aliens who probably get their supplies from Home Depot, Lowes, and other sources (theft of materials comes to mind). They are just trying to get a bigger share of that market. That’s the catch-22 we face with illegal workers. Their cheap labor, low overhead,no benefits, or taxes paid allows them to deliver a competitive product at a lower price to their customers. They run out of business the legitimate small companies who have to follow the law of the land. Not only Texas, but this probably happens in your neighborhood too.

actually, I think Menards may be even more palatable.

they are not as widespread as the others, but if you have one close by, I would suggest them.

privately owned, based out of wisconsin.

A big beautiful door the smiling Angelo in the pick-up truck illegally installed so he can continue to hire illegal sub-contractors.

So I am not the only one who thought that. When they read (I did not watch the ad)about the ad I wondered if the next ad by 84lumber would feature human traffickers lying to a mother and daughter in order to sell them into sex slavery.

I live in Eighy Four, about 10 minutes from 84 Lumber’s so-called world headquarters. It’s a dump.

Their website probably crashed from angry people looking for a way to post a nasty comment.

Joe Hardy, founder, was a local ‘character’, millionaire but pretty well liked regular guy. Source of endless gossip with all his marriages to younger women. He turned biz ops over to daughter Maggie in 1992. Have never heard a good rumor about her. I doubt Joe would have spent millions on any ad, let alone one about illegals. Maybe illegals are now running all the construction gangs and buying his lumber.

I wonder how 84 Lumber would feel about an employee who takes advantage of the “great opportunity” in the company safe?
