Having the police scurry for cover may have been a bad look on TV, but it was an easy call for campus officials, Mogulof said. “It was too dangerous for everyone.”

So if you are a citizen concerned about you personal safety and the protection of your private property please refer to the 2nd Amendment.

Why pay taxes, then?

So the destruction of private property by unruly brats is ok. Busted heads is a deterent. This all stops when a deterent is in place

College towns are as beholden to the snowflake students as ghettoes are beholden to ‘hoodrats; they are their bread & butter, supported by infusions of other peoples’ money.

In the past, when violent protesters have shown up at East Bay demonstrations, they’ve mixed with the crowd and used peaceful protesters as human cover. This time, the 100 or so black bloc anarchists marched brazenly up Bancroft Way and into Sproul Plaza after the protest was under way, lined up directly in front of their target and attacked.

It was as if they knew no one would stop them — which turned out to be the case.

Perfect argument for the second amendment! We need to make it legal for people to carry a gun across the nation.

If I were to attend an event and rioters showed up and realized that local government was going to order police to stand down, I would want my own protection.

“That is a real game changer,” Mogulof said.

Surprise, surprise. Rewarding bad behavior gets you more bad behavior.

UC Berkeley’s attitude amounts to this: We’d rather deal with broken windows than broken heads.

This is pretty much a rationale to avoid doing any police enforcement whatsoever.

Personally, I think broken heads send a much clearer message than broken windows. That’s just me.

If that was official city of Berkley policy, then the merchants whose property was damaged by the rioters ought to be able to sue the city of Berkley for intentional failure to protect them from law breakers whom the city’s police observed and allowed to break the law.

And by standing back they allowed BOTH broken windows AND broken heads! It was never an either-or situation!

If they’d arrested more than one of them, they’d have been able to identify their political ideology and perhaps even who was paying them. [One of the rioters is wearing a nearly $800.00 jacket. Either he’s a well off Berkeley student, or Soros pays very generously.]

As it is, they’re claiming Milo staged the protests (using conservatives as operatives) for promotional purposes. That narrative only stands a chance if as few as possible of the rioters have been positively IDed.

“When it comes to its treatment of anarchist protesters like the ones who trashed Sproul Plaza the other night, UC Berkeley’s attitude amounts to this: We’d rather deal with broken windows than broken heads.”

#1, those are our broken windows, not yours, that you are declining to protect.

#2, for many business owners, these aren’t just broken windows, they are broken dreams, broken businesses which never recover despite the years the owners have worked to build them.

#3, pro-America citizens had their heads broken by the radicals you chose to protest by not stopping,

#4, most importantly, if you do nothing, the radicals just keep coming back. When you break a few heads, in the end you don’t have any broken windows, nor the need to beak any more heads.

The President of the University of California, Janet Napolitano, should be held accountable. Considering her past policies in similar situations with DHS, why isn't anybody questioning her? It wouldn't be surprising if this wasn't entirely orchestrated by her, including the anarchists.

More broken heads will result in fewer broken windows. Actions should have consequences.

Yeah, well that kind of thinking is going to cause more Snowflakes to act up, plus you’re going to start seeing more non-students showing up because they know they can break into stores and loot with impunity. Really dumb idea...

We’d rather deal with broken windows than broken heads.

That's not the choice facing us. We can let Ctrl-Left thugs bust windows now and let the same emboldened liberal thugs bust innocent heads immediately afterwards, or we can bust socialist thug heads as soon as they instigate violence. I'd rather have only far-left thugs injured than have property damage plus innocent people injured. The proper response to a Ctrl-Left riot travels at 900 fps or faster.

The most fundamental purposes of governments is to establish uniform laws, enforce those laws, and provide for the common defense. Any time a government fails in these duties/powers, it becomes illegitimate. Berkley has declared anarchy. Under those circumstances, it is every man and woman for themselves. Arm up and ammo up.
