When the cold-war with Iran goes hot, the DOD ban will take effect. Maybe some of those folks will destroy civilian airliners bringing their poor wretched souls to the US, just to help Trump and our Military prevail.
Trump should just cancel that EO, then issue a new one, cancelling ALL immigration for a year.
No discrimination there, just security, until we get proper vetting in place.

If people (leftist etc especially) would have actually listened to Trump, he clearly many times said his presidency was about America first. His EO is not against a country or a people, it’s just considering and in favor of America’s needs first.
America needs better vetting and tracking of who is coming in. simple, if people actually listen and comprehend.
Actually, the current terror alert level is heightened and mention the threat of “home grown terrorism” which I think is intentional from the Obama DHS. Trump could easily raise the terrorist level and change the wording to include non-citizen travelers from other countries, etc. Then impose the ban.
