Donald Trump could be denied the honour of speaking in Parliament's oldest building when he visits Britain after parliamentary organisers privately voiced concern.
The Sunday Telegraph understands that John Bercow, the Commons Speaker, has expressed worry about the backlash from MPs over Mr Trump’s expected address.
There are now plans to move any speech from Westminster Hall, created in the 11th century, to the Royal Gallery, built around 800 years later and currently covered in scaffolding.
The move would be seen as a major snub to Mr Trump, given his predecessor Barack Obama addressed MPs and peers in Westminster Hall during his state visit.
A well-placed sourced said Mr Bercow, one of three ‘keyholders’ who decide where it would take place, was “not happy” about the level of MP concern.

As Britain begins its exit from the EU they are going to want a close relationship with the USA more than ever.

I cannot recall any one speech or statement made by Obama that was important and powerful. He always ranted on about himself and how bad America was. Very sad.
Why would any real American President want an honour that Obama was qualified for?

Go through with the State Visit to the Queen, and do so to utter perfection. Completely snub Parliament, ignore them. Then, go direct to the British people, special guest at a huge Trump-style rally on short notice led by Nigel Farage.
President Trump should send Michael Savage to represent him.
