This really gets me. Why is “spirituality” whether Islam or “eastern” (cool to hippies and can’t get rid of the influence since) good and fine and to be admired, but if one tries to hold to western Christianity, you are old-fashioned and uptight and oppressive?
Did they turn in their driver’s licenses? Only leave their homes with a husband, father or brother escorting them? Only have their testimony count as a fraction of a man’s? Come on, ladies, the bag over your head is only a small fraction of Islamic culture.
