If I understood it correctly, BIG IF, letter was insisting people buy Obamacare before Jan 31, 2017 if they didnt want to pay a penalty for tax year 2016.

Well you can claim as many exemptions as you need to bring your end of the year tax liability down to near zero. Just as you can ask the IRS for a bigger withholding, you can also claim more exemptions if you can demonstrate that it is necessary for equity. For me, since I am self-employed, I simply send the IRS what I believe to be an appropriate quarterly tax payment. In the end, it all washes out. My only point is that people should not “offer the IRS” their money willingly.
I'm pretty sure he knows the IRS drones are resisting his executive order.

I looked into the ACA and after examining it closely, decided it was a Ponzi scheme. On January 12th I opted off their mailing list. A few days later I get the letter, dated January 12.
No one likes getting a letter with those &@s&ar&’s return address but when I saw it was in the nature of a threat and dun, it really angered me.
The left should be grateful for Trump. This country was close to civil war. But if they still want it ... keep pushing violence as an alternative to their democratic process.
Gut the IRS and put these leeches out on the street so they can experience some of the joy of the last 8 years.

The taxes you are filing at this time is for 2016 while the PPACA still mandated the tax penalty. Going forward, next year when you file there will not be a tax penalty removing money from any refund.
Amazingly I got a nastygram from these folks saying something to that. Premium started at 900 a month. Them, Trump gutted ocare and the new premium was 600. Told them to go to the beach and pound sand.

Congress can retroactively make the tax code more
generous for periods already ended, so they could repeal the penalty, or at the very least create a credit equal to the penalty owed for 2016. Call it the Fascism Undone Credit, or FU Credit for short.
