Green cards, get back in per Homeland Security. Tat being said, I don’t care WHAT someone from Somalia, Iran, Yemen CLAIM, we have no vetting, so we don’t really know who they are.

The green card is a “resident Alien” card that authorizes an alien to reside here in the US. IIRC, they would use whatever their passport is coupled with the green card lets them leave and enter. I remember my wife back in the late 70s going back home with our son to visit and there was some kind of paperwork she had to fill out, but for the time she had a green card, she could travel in and out of the country. I don’t know about now.

He KNEW he would be detained and when he was, he gets all wound up for having to go through extra security. He was released after they checked and cleared him.
Not sure when he went through security in his home country, but my experience in these hell holes is - feel lucky you get through it one the same day.
