A company makes money off of the amazing opportunity liberals created by ending taxi service to an airport. It undermines the impact of their protest and is profit to boot.

NY taxi often sucks. Subway (or walk) much better.

The taxi drivers are mostly pleasant, but language barriers and street familiarity can be a problem.

If I’m not mistaken, the medallions are well over $100k. Thievery by NYC.

AIRBnB has announced that refugees can stay at their places for free. I wonder if they’re expecting the homeowners to bite the bullet. I wouldn’t doubt it.

Medallions have a market value.

“New York City cab medallions, which sold for as much as $1 million a year ago, now are priced at the $500K level, battered by competition from Uber, Lyft.”

Not sure I saw your comments but I think many of us are in the same boat. I haven’t watched network news in years (with exceptions) not just because of the bias. I gave up on them like I gave up on my local newspaper. They bore me and I can get my news on demand from various sources via internet.

On Saturday, The New York City Taxi Workers Alliance called for a temporary halt to rides heading to John F. Kennedy airport.

Anyone who's taken a cab (an "ordinary" cab) in NYC in the last 20 years knows that 95% of the drivers pray 5 times a day.
