Unfortunately, after passing out of the Senate General Laws Committee last week, two bills that add sexual orientation and gender identity ("SOGI") as special legal classes passed the full Senate on Friday.
One bill adds SOGI to public employment criteria. The other relates to housing and would require, for example, a faith-based university to open up it's female-only dormitories to male students who "identify" as a female. And it would require the university to open its married housing to same-sex couples.
Although we anticipate these bills will be defeated in the House, the fact that these direct threats to religious liberty have gained a foothold in the (Republican Controlled) Senate is cause for real concern.

Sen. Vogel, do you expect us to support you this year for Lt. Governor, when you regularly vote with the Democrats on bills like these???

That’s a little disappointing. She’s obviously pandering to the NOVA crowd. She’s pretty good on most issues. The Pubbies do need to win that seat and she is probably the best shot.

Ah yeah, these male queers that rim each other and spread diseases to young boys deserve special rights, like prosecution for vectoring diseases to little boys. Public health doesn’t even enter into the discussion.
Vogel is NOT our best shot....that would be Sen. Bryce Reeves, the person who I plan to support....and a solid Conservative.

I like Bryce, but in my view he is not going to be able to pull enough votes from the heavily Dem areas in VA that have been electing Dems to statewide office for quite a while now. As a woman, Jill will get more votes in traditionally Dem areas. I think Bryce is polling in third place now, though this race isn't yet on the radar screen for most folks.
This lady is a Republican?? Must be a RINO...beside those items, what is her voting record...far left?
Contact your Senator and let him/her know what you think.
I am deeply disappointed in my “conservative” senator who voted with Vogle. Time for him to get out of politics. He clearly is operating above his pay grade.
